Duckworth Prestex’s origin story spans back almost a century. The Duckworth family business, Prestons, was founded back in 1869 in Bolton. The firm began making pocket watches in the 1920s, which were branded under the name of ‘Prestex’. Despite its success, the Prestex brand was discontinued in the 1960s to prioritise other ventures through Prestons. After 20 years of mourning, Neil Duckworth made the decision to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and revive the Prestex brand. Using experience from his long career in watchmaking, Duckworth launched ‘Duckworth Prestex’ to pay homage to both his family and the former beloved Prestex brand. Reimagining the original designs, Duckworth Prestex seeks to create versatile and high-quality pieces for an affordable price.

Characterised by a clean double sub-dial complication, the collection puts a contemporary spin on the timeless design. • In quintessential Duckworth Prestex style, each watch in the collection has a cushion-shaped, retro-polished stainless steel case. 
• The case frames a double sub-dial design. 
• For optimal readability, the Chronograph models are equipped with a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective underside coating.
• The indices and hands are coated with a powerful BGW9 luminescent compound so the watch is legible even in low-light conditions. 
• Each model is individually numbered on the screw-in case back.

• Measuring 42mm, the stainless steel case frames a round green dual-layer dial. 
• The outer minute track ring and the two sub-dials are slightly recessed from the rest of the dial. 
• The dial exhibits luminescent baton indices and brushed slate-grey hands. The contrasting seconds hand is orange. 
• Features on the swatch include hours, minutes, sweep seconds, a date display and a 30-minute chronograph.
