Superb service and outstanding watch. The watch is stylish, easy to use and with its radio controlled accuracy and solar power really is maintenance free. The dark bracelet looks fantastic and the large dial and date means that it is easy to read. I phoned Firstclasswatches and was offered a discount on the watch, which included an adjustment to the bracelet size and next day delivery. I cannot recommend the watch or the service high enough. Frankly you'd be draft to buy a watch from anyone else!

Very aesthetically pleasing watch and very stylish! I’ve been looking to buy this watch for a few weeks now. Received the watch the next working day after I ordered it! The watch has a solid look, feel and weight to it, but not to heavy. Despite being large it is very comfortable to wear and is suitable for practically any occasion. The web picture displays the watch as black, however, in reality it is more of a carbon / graphite colour, the bracelet being a combination of brushed and polished steel. The face contains a blend of graphite, chrome, white, and hints of blue which, when the light shines through the sapphire glass, is absolutely stunning! Dials also glow in the dark. Text on the watch is not too small to read and easily understandable.

Functions include a stop watch and an alarm which are useful to have. But, for me the highlights of this watch, other than its aesthetics and sheer presence on your wrist, is the fact that it is Eco-Drive (solar powered) and Atomic Time (time and date is set automatically by a transmitted signal which is received daily by the watch). There is a power indicator and the watch enters sleep mode when it has not been exposed to light for 30 minutes or more, it then automatically resumes when light hits it – Very Impressive!

In summary: The AT4007-54E is Utterly Striking to look at, is comfortable and suitable to wear for any occasion, powers itself by light, and sets the time and date automatically. If you like how it looks in the web picture you’ll absolutely love it in reality!

I have just bought the Citizen AT4007-54E from First Class Watches and I am absolutely delighted with not only the watch but the whole buying experience. I have been looking for a watch for months, since before Christmas (it’s now April!). I haven’t owned a watch for over 15 years (a Casio calculator watch was my last one and that doesn’t really count!). After making the decision to purchase a watch I decided I wanted something stylish, nice to look at, something that made a bit of a statement without spending silly money. There is a lot of choice out there, however one of the first watches to catch my eye at the start of my search was this Citizen AT4007-54E. I liked the technology that has gone into it, the light powered Eco-Drive, shouldn’t ever need to change the battery, the auto synchronisation to the atomic clock time signal, never need to set the time myself, the perpetual calendar, no need to wind it to the right date etc. These three features to me said here is a watch I can count on to be accurate (OCD accurate!) every day for as long as I own it. I like the black finish, more unique than a stainless or gold watch, sets it out from the crowd. I did a lot of research on how hard wearing the ion plated black finish would be, and only came up with good reports. The sapphire glass is just as hard wearing, so it should be sturdy enough and packed with enough technology to last me years and still look good, and still keep perfect time. I looked at watches from a number of other manufacturers, but I wanted something from a watch maker, not a fashion house, so this narrowed the field. This Citizen was a little more than I wanted to spend but it looked fantastic and had all the features I wanted. Now I have owned it for a couple of days I can say I am not disappointed. It looks better in the flesh than the photos online show, the watch feels a nice weight and well built. The band comes with a number of removable links (including 2 half links) to allow it to be resized easily to fit the owner (I had it done at a local jeweller so I could try it on until I was happy). I have had positive comments from a number of friends and co-workers, it does catch the eye and looks more expensive than it was. After months of research I am very happy with my purchase, a really nice watch, stylish and well featured.

If you are looking for a new watch and want something that is packed with features but is quietly elegant without being over the top then this is for you. I was looking for ages before deciding on this one and I am so pleased I did.
It was ready to wear from the box, time and date all set, just needed to have a few links removed from the strap.
The black / charcoal colour with the blue accents on the two buttons and centre hand looks great. The alarm is fairly easy to set although does take a little bit of time, its loud enough to wake me up.
People have commented on it saying how nice it looks.
Its a little on the heavy side but you dont notice it once its on your wrist.
I receive a medium signal inside from the radio control time signal about 60 miles north of London and a high signal outside.
You wont be disappointed with this watch, and in my opinion it represents excellent value for money with its 5 year warranty.
Understated watch with a luxury feel without the silly price tag of other brands.

What can i say.... very fast delivery from First Class Watches, i got the watch for the best price, i have not found a retailer anywhere in the world (www) that could match their price, the watch is awesome, it has such presence on my wrist, it is such a great watch, don't sit there wanting this timepeice buy it, for sure you will not be disappointed, i collect watches untill now the favorate in my collection was a maurice lacroix moonphrase, now it is this watch by far, its that good, i'm about to buy a new G shock form first class watches, i recommend them every time.

This watch is comfortable, elegant, and functional, I've had it for a few days so I cannot comment in durability, but from the materials, and build quality I can tell it is going to be with me for a long time.
As the watch is solar powered, it doesn't need a battery and that I'm sure will help keep the water resistant grade.

One minor disadvantage is that the alternative time zone is not radio controlled, according to the manual, therefore unless you live in one of the 5 time zones supported you loose this function, having said that, I'm using it now as I live in UTC+1 and it seems to be keeping the time up to the second., if this is not important to you, go ahead and buy this watch, you won't be disappointed.

I have waited 2.5 months before writing this review, so that I can comment more accurately and also on some longer term features, such as scratch resistance.

Weight - The watch is surprisingly light compared to most watches of this size (it is a big watch!). It almost feels like titanium, although it is steel. The band is especially light.

It is incredibly shiny. So much so, that the slightest bit of dirt shows up on it, and I worry I have scratched it every time I pick it up. It is also beautiful; I frequently look at it to tell the time, and get sidetracked admiring it.

One of the most important questions for anyone buying a black watch is "will it scratch". I can report that so far, after two months of wearing it most days, there are literally no scratches. Compared to a brand new replacement strap for an old Tag Heuer I had for about two months before getting this (Tag battery died, again) which scratched very quickly, this is very impressive. It seems there are very different qualities of black plating, and this one has a good quality, well hardened steel and deep ion implantation. It seems from others comments on youtube reviews etc that the watch is fairly resistant to scratching.
Sapphire glass of course is completely unmarked.

You will need the instruction manual to use this thing. It is quite complicated, but you will only need it once. It is very easy to remember, you might say obvious once you know how.

The alarm function is a bit odd, and takes quite a while to set, since you cannot advance the hour hand separately to the minute hand. That said, a single quick spin of the crown (the crown does not behave like a normal crown, and it does not screw down!) makes the hands spin round, until you next click the crown, so you can advance 24 hours in about a minute when setting. Turning it on and off is fortunately a lot easier.

Chronograph is seconds only; no tenths.I guess you have to decide whether this is an issue for you. Personally, I was mildly disappointed. Also, using the chronograph involves pulling the crown out, selecting the chronograph function, waiting a few seconds while it realigns all the hands, then you can start. If you ever need to time something suddenly, you will probably miss it.

Time zones are London, USA (NewYorkCity, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles) and AlternativeTimeMode. Not optimal if you are in Europe/Asia, but the ATM works fine, and allows you to shift the time in hour increments, so you maintain the accuracy of the atomic synchronisation.

The only other slight negative point is that the clasp could be better; the clip you squeeze to release it kind of catches if you don't pull it straight apart, so you sometimes have to wiggle it free. That is being picky though. You probably won't ever take this off.

Overall, I am very happy with this watch. It's flashy and obnoxious, people really do notice it, which could rarely be said about my old watch. It's super accurate - I can actually go on any of the atomic clock websites and watch the second hand ticking in perfect time. It never needs adjusting, battery changing, date shifting at the start of the month etc... and if the 60£ Citizen I bought from Argos 8 years ago (still running fine, I just rarely wear it) is anything to judge by... it will last well.

This watch oozes quality and features, its looks are second to none. You just have to wear it as it takes care of everything else on its own! I thought long and hard about this purchase but certainly made the right choice in the end - superb highly recommended.

The first time I saw this watch on a television advert I thought what a fantastic looking watch and when it arrived I wasn't dissapointed. The watch certainly looks classy withought being looking vulgar. Its great that it never needs a battery, most places have to send them away to replace as they have to break the seal. The dial is easy to read the watch is heavy but not overly so and you soon get used to it. Overall a cracking watch. I would certainly recommend it.

Very good looking watch in my opinion the best looking Citizen Eco-Drive out there. the watch is very easy to use as you don't have to worry about setting the time or date, little bit on the heavy side but you soon get used to the weight after wearing if for a little while. no need to worry about the battery running out is always a bonus. After trawling the internet for watch reviews I found the Eco Drive! I was initially looking at Tissot T-Touch and Armani Ceramic watches until I came across this little beauty. It does everything it says on the tin and more. It is a classy looking watch, not too overstated but enough to make people comment on it's style. Having been impressed by my brothers Citizen Skyhawk I decided to also buy one as I was impressed with the technology in that it never needs winding up (as it is solar powered even from lights), never needs a battery and even keeps its own time. It is accurate to within a second which is more than I will ever need. If you leave these watches in a drawer in the dark it will go to sleep for up to six months and come back to life when it comes into the light. it is truly a watch that you can put on your wrist everyday and forget everything else. I have found the build quality of these watches to be excellent and the titanium version of the Skyhawk quite light. Unfortunately I lost my Titanium Skyhawk at a swimming pool, I was gutted but I am sure wherever it is it will be working perfectly. searching for a replacement I have looked at various more expensive watches and it was during this time that my wife has bought a second hand ladies Rolex watch which she has had to take back to the shop several times which in my opinion shows that price does not necessarily lead to quality. Considering looks, function and cost I was compelled to returned again to the Citizen eco range and have just bought a lovely looking watch comparable to an omega or Tag but at a fraction of the cost at the end of the day what do you want from a watch ? I managed to buy mine for £330 delivered with a discount which was £70 cheaper than most other online web sites, I am well chuffed and can also recommend the free bracelet adjustment service that First Class Watches offer, I would recommend this brand and supplier who delivered it to me in it's adjusted state within two days, a really speedy and' first class' service !

When I first made the decision I was going to buy a new watch I had no idea that I would end up with such a quality product. I was looking for a new best watch and I found it.I always said that to buy a watch you have to go into a shop to buy it but after finding this watch and reading previous reviews about it they only confirm this watches credentials. Looking at pictures on the internet does not do this watch any justice, it is very well made with the feel of quality it perfoms all its functions to a high standard, follow the supplied cd and it shows you how easy it is to access all the functions, within half an hour I could fully use the watch.The watch was delivered showing the correct time and date and its battery was nearly fully charged so I could have a good play around with it. The signal reception is on automatic and every night updates itself with no problems and with the press of just one button I can see that I had high signal strengh.The perpetual calender forwarded from the 30th to the 1st just as it should for thirty day months.I really can not find any thing about this watch that I do not like or consider not to be up to my expectations.Buy one you will love it.

I bought a first generation Citizen Eco Drive radio controlled watch 5 years ago and was very impressed with the piece, but it lacked an alarm function, which was unavailable in 2007. So it was not surprising that when I was looking for a replacement, the alarm was essential. I wanted something stylish, kept accurate time but simple – I did not require a computer on my wrist! The watch that met all my criteria was the Citizen AT 4007-54E and I decided to buy it online through this site, First Class Watches. Their watches are well priced, have excellent descriptions of style and features and, as a bonus, they offer the 30-day money back guarantee. I have not been disappointed – the service was first-class (sorry about the pun!) and the Company even completed their part of the Citizen 5-year guarantee. One very minor point of the watch image on the site – on my PC the face appears with a tinge of blue, but in reality it is definitely black which is what I wanted!. The watch was on my wrist within minutes of its arrival and I am delighted with its look. Yes, it is heavier than some watches I’ve worn, but on the wrist, it is very comfortable just like my previous Citizen. Another feature I like is the non-reflective glass, unavailable on many Citizen Watches. The strap required the removal of a couple of links and this can be done at home with care – see YouTube videos, which are very useful. I found the user guide print small so used the supplied CD-ROM to download the user guide and print in a larger font. Was looking for an everyday black on black watch with a face that wasn't over crowded with too many features. This is ideal!

Comfortable to wear - doesn't feel too heavy.

Atomic time and Eco drive were the main selling points.

Only disappointment was that it had low battery on the day I received it, so couldn't try all the features straight away - but a few hrs in the sun and it's all going now.

This Citizen watch is one of the best looking watches I have ever owned.
This fully automatic, radio controlled timepiece with its perpetual calendar could not be easier to set up.
The only downside is the slightly complicated way to access some of the watches features.

I spent a long time looking for the perfect watch at the right price, and when I saw this I knew I'd found it.

The weight is good - a bit heavier (and thicker) than previous watches I've owned but is by no means uncomfortable. The dial is large and clear and the features include everything and more I could want.
It's very stylish - not too glossy and shiny but still catches the light nicely. The pictures do not do the watch justice at all.

I'd considered the silver/red version of this watch but when I saw it in the flesh I found it to be far too shiny.

The only downside is perhaps the fairly weak reception of the radio controlled signal - the instructions suggest you should have the 6oclock mark pointing towards germany to pick up the radio signal...they are not wrong! I've found that if the watch is left overnight pointing any other way the radio signal will not update for me (it auto updates at 2am). However that is a minor point and once known about was easily solved.

All in all i'm very happy with the product, and with the excellent service (and price) from FCW.

I've been looking around for a few weeks for a watch with a difference and found it.

The Citizen Radio Controlled Perpetual Calendar Chronograph AT4007-54E looks better in real life than on the internet image - I cannot stop admiring it.

In natural light it has a dark grey lustre which adds to its mystery.

For everyday practicality it's not too heavy and not too light on the wrist.

With its black and white display it's not only attractive but easy to read even at a quick glance which is want I want in a watch.

One of the reasons was that my wife bought me gold plated Citizen dress watch for my 50 birthday & I am turned Eighty years old & it's still going strong.The only draw back was it's battery operated & get serviced every five years, will still continue to use on special occasions.

I showed this to my wife that I had been looking at AT4007-54E That I Liked the style of it & there's no need for batteries & the accurate time keeping it had Alarm, Chronometer which is very useful & it's what I needed & to my surprise this came as Christmas gift from My four Children.

I like working outside in my Greenhouses & Garden it will help ,I roughly work for 2 to 3 hours each day weather permitting & can time my self with the alarm & watch it's easy to see time.

In nutshell really pleased They bought this watch for me which will treasure.

Has very decent looks and its not too 'blingy' and shiny. Loaded with a lot of function. Ordered Friday and got it Saturday morning. All professionally packed including my Citizen 5 yr guarantee.

Was a Seiko fan for year, till my Seiko Kinetic Auto Relay stopped winding it's self up, Seiko didn't want to hear about my problem, said i'd have to pay a stupid amount to get it fixed, it was only two years old, bye bye Seiko.
So been with good old Citizen for years now, I love the 5 year guarantee, cant knock it. My last watch was stolen, a Citizen Eco drive Blue Angels. was in it's 5th year of reliable use, miss it :(.
