All-New Maurice Lacroix Aikon Ceramic Watches
The Case and Dial
Maurice Lacroix is pleased to announce two new variants, each in ceramic suits and executed in two contrasting hues. One version, measuring 39mm in diameter, is presented in white (AI6007-CRM72-130-7). While the other, housed in a 42mm case, is executed in black (AI6008-CRM22-330-2). Both timepieces feature a colour-coordinated dial with a Clous de Paris texture and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. In addition to this, each dial features complementing baton indices and hands with white SuperLuminova inserts. While promising optimal readability, in all light conditions, they also enhance the practicality of the watch. A sapphire crystal, with a double anti-reflective coating, protects each dial. Providing great levels of both clarity and durability, it ensures each watch will remain unaffected by the bumps and knocks that come with daily wear.
As previously mentioned, the new Aikon Ceramic watches come in two different case sizes: 39mm and 42mm. Each case is crafted from technical ceramic. A material with a lasting allure, it is also corrosion-resistant and hypoallergenic. Moreover, each case impresses with its thermal stability and overall strength; all whilst remaining comfortable on the wrist. In true Maurice Lacroix style, a six ‘claws’ bezel also surrounds each dial. A unique, but somewhat familiar, addition, it expresses the brand’s urban style and contemporary appeal.
The Movement and Finishing Touches
Through the sapphire crystal exhibition case back, the wearer can observe the ML115 automatic movement that powers each watch. The movement provides a power reserve of up to 38 hours, so these watches are great companions for daily wear. To showcase Swiss quality, the rhodium-plated movement is embellished with Perlage and Colimaçon, and Côtes de Genève features on the rotor.
A technical ceramic bracelet concludes the design of each watch. Matching the dial and case, it acts as the final piece to the monochromatic colour scheme. Moreover, thanks to its articulating links, the bracelet confers optimal wearer comfort. Each bracelet is also equipped with Maurice Lacroix’s EasyStrap system, so the wearer can change their look whenever they please.
