The All-New Alpina Heritage Automatic Watches

The Case and Dial

Two new styles, each with a vintage flair, these watches are ideal for everyday wear. While much about these two new watches is similar, the dials are quite different. The watches come with the choice of either a sunray silver and matte beige sector dial with bronze coloured-printed Arabic numerals and baton indices (AL-520SBG3SH6) or a sunray and matte-finished beige dial with black Arabic numerals and a railroad-style minute track (AL-520BG3SG6). However, for a cohesive look, both watches feature blued steel hour, minute and second hands.

Each model’s case is crafted from polished stainless steel, and they both come with a 38mm diameter. Oozing vintage class, they have a traditional round profile typical of that from the 1920s-1940s. In addition, an anti-reflective box-shaped sapphire crystal protects each dial. Not only does it improve the watch’s clarity levels but durability levels too. Although water resistance comes in at a minimal 30 metres, the watches are suitable for daily wear. Just make sure to remove the watch before coming into contact with water!

The Movement and Finishing Touches

Within each case, and solid stainless steel case back, is the watch’s AL-520 calibre automatic movement. Based upon the infamous Sellita SW200 calibre, the AL-520 automatic movement has 26 jewels and runs at a frequency of 28,800vph. In addition to this, it provides each watch with approximately 38 hours of power; so daily reliability is certain.

Complementing the overall vintage style, a black calf leather strap secures each watch to the wrist. With a subtle texture, and no added details, it bears great resemblance to the type of straps that dominated the industry between the 1920s and 1940s. Ensuring optimal security, each strap fastens with a stainless steel pin buckle. Thanks to this, a safe, secure and comfortable fit on the wrist is certain.

The all-new Alpina Heritage Automatic watches are simply stunning. Impressing with their timeless elegance, they perfectly place the watchmaking firm’s historical heritage in the spotlight. No matter which variant you choose, a beautiful watch that keeps precise time is certain.
