The Return of Hamilton’s Murph Watches
The Case and Dial
Two new styles, infinite possibilities. The new Murph models are ready for any challenge. Reimagined with a modern twist, the watches come with the choice of either an antique white (H70405710) or black (H70405130) dial. Highlighting the vintage appeal of the white dial, it exhibits a grained finish. Each dial exhibits large, slightly domed Arabic numerals and cathedral-shaped hands. Not only does this ensure optimal legibility, but it ensures a cohesive look across the range; even though the dial colour varies.
Each model’s case is crafted from high-quality stainless steel, and as previously mentioned, they both come with a 38mm diameter. In addition, a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects each dial. Not only does it improve the watch’s clarity levels but durability levels too. Aided by their crown, each new Murph model boasts a water resistance rating of up to 100 metres. So although these watches are made for cinema, they are ready for action!
The Movement and Finishing Touches
Visible through the exhibition case back, each Murph is powered by Hamilton’s infamous H-10 calibre automatic movement. Boasting a superior power reserve of 80 hours, the H-10 will never let you down. In addition to this, the movement comes equipped with a Nivachron balance spring which not only improves accuracy but reduces the effects of magnets, temperature, and shocks.
Contrasting the dial and evoking a sense of exploration, a black leather strap and pin buckle conclude the design of the white dialled 38mm Murph. On the other hand, the original black-dialled Murph is finished with a stainless steel bracelet and a three-fold clasp; offering great durability and versatility. Both straps ensure optimal security and comfort on the wrist, but the stainless steel bracelet is the star of the show – as it’s a first for the Hamilton Murph.
