New Additions to Tissot’s PRX Collection
Tissot PRX Gradient Ice Blue and Dark Blue
With two fading dials, transitioning from either ice blue or dark blue to a metallic blue reflection, these new additions are reminiscent of dusk and dawn. For optimal readability, each waffle-patterned dial features silver-tone baton indices and hands with a Super-LumiNova coating. As well as this a date aperture features at the 3 o’clock position. Combining beauty and quality, a sapphire crystal encases both dials. Known for its exceptional scratch-resistance, not only does this crystal ensure clarity but durability too. Measuring 40mm in diameter, a tonneau-shaped stainless steel case frames each dial. While inspired by a retro model from the past, it is perfectly suited for modern professionals; offering something that is both fresh and unique.
Through the exhibition case back, the wearer can observe and enjoy the movement that powers each watch. Said movement is an automatic Powermatic 80, and as its name suggests, boasts an 80-hour power reserve. In addition to this, the movement features a Nivachron balance spring. While enhancing performance, it mitigates magnetic field interference and withstands shocks, ageing, and temperature changes. An angular stainless steel bracelet secures each new PRX addition on the wrist. Sleek and sophisticated, it is the perfect finishing touch for these iconic timepieces.
Tissot PRX Forged Carbon
This new addition to Tissot’s PRX collection has been designed for optimal performance in demanding conditions. From the dial to the strap, the full black ensemble ensures the watch stands out on the wrist. The black carbon dial exhibits silver-tone baton indices and hands with a Super-LumiNova coating. A date aperture also features at the 3 o’clock position. Measuring 40.5mm in diameter, a tonneau-shaped stainless steel case with black and grey marbled forged carbon frames the dial. Thanks to this innovative material, each piece is lightweight, durable but most importantly unique. Moreover, a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial; ensuring great clarity as it does so.
Like the PRX gradient watches, this forged carbon variant features an exhibition case back. Through this, the wearer can observe the automatic movement that powers the watch. Swiss-made and with an 80-hour power reserve, it ensures great reliability and longevity. The only model within the new additions to Tissot’s PRX collection to utilise this type, a black rubber strap secures the watch to the wrist. Providing great comfort and security on the wrist, thanks to its smooth texture and pin buckle clasp, it ensures the watch is perfect for everyday wear.
Tissot PRX UFO Robot Grendizer Special Edition
This special edition watch merges two iconic characters from the 1970s; the famous PRX and the super robot anime UFO Robot Grendizer. The deep blue dial features the Grendizer robot itself and for an added touch, it features a Super-LumiNova coating; in the dark, he glows. In addition to this, the dial features silver-tone baton indices and hands, and like Grendizer, they also feature a Super-LumiNova coating. Measuring 40mm in diameter, a tonneau-shaped stainless steel case frames the dial. While inspired by the past, it has a modern flair to it. A hidden, but significant detail, in the upper flange, there is a text in Japanese that reads “UFOロボ グレンダイザー”, the original title for Grendizer. Moreover, for optimal durability, a sapphire crystal protects the dial and a mineral crystal protects the case back.
The exhibition case back allows the wearer to observe the movement that powers the watch. Said movement is a Powermatic 80 movement, which offers up to 80 hours of power reserve. As well as this, it includes a Nivachron balance spring which ensures both high precision and reliability. Adding to the sweet nostalgia that all fans of the series will embrace, the movement’s rotor features an engraving of the Grendizer. A stainless steel bracelet, that fastens with a butterfly clasp, concludes the design of this PRX. Modelled after the Spazer, Grendizer’s UFO, the watch comes in a very special box. It’s the perfect piece for watch collectors and anime enthusiasts alike.
