All-New Maurice Lacroix Aikon Titanium Watches
Aikon Automatic 42mm
The Aikon Automatic Titanium is available in two variants: grey (AI6008-TT032-230-1) and purple (AI6008-TT032-430-1). The elegant grey dial delivers a monochromatic aesthetic, while the eye-popping purple dial is ideal for those wearers who choose to live life above the radar. Both dials showcase an intricate clous-de-Paris motif and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. In addition to this, rhodium-plated baton indices and hands; both of which feature a white Super-LumiNova coating. To ensure each feature-rich dial remains in a pristine condition, a sapphire crystal with a double anti-reflective coating encases it. Measuring 42mm in diameter, and endowed with a blend of high-contrast sandblasted and polished surfaces, a titanium case frames each dial. As well as this, each model features a titanium bezel with Maurice Lacroix’s six ‘claws’ design. Thanks to their screwed crown, and 200 metres of water resistance, these watches are ready for everyday wear!
An ML115 automatic movement powers each timepiece. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and with a 38-hour power reserve, it ensures reliable accuracy. And for an added touch, the wearer can observe this movement through the sapphire crystal exhibition case back. A 5-row titanium bracelet secures each watch to the wrist. Maurice Lacroix has graced the bracelet with a refined blend of brushed and polished surfaces, creating a sophisticated appearance. Consistent with other familiar models, each watch comes with the brand’s Easy Strap Exchange system; allowing the wearer to swap the strap for an alternative with just a few user-friendly clicks.
Aikon Automatic Chronograph 44mm
Like the previous models, the Aikon Automatic Chronograph Titanium is available in two variants: gold (AI6038-TT032-530-1) and purple (AI6038-TT032-430-1). Both watches showcase a lattice-like motif dial with a day-date aperture at 3 o’clock, however, there are some notable differences between the two. The gold variant features three black sub-dials, black-plated baton indices and hands. Whereas, the purple variant features three silver sub-dials, rhodium-plated baton indices and hands. Other than those details, and the obvious difference in dial colour, the design remains the same. Like the Aikon Automatic, the 44mm case of the Aikon Automatic Chronograph incorporates some accents in Grade 5 titanium; delivering a highly polished, resplendent gleam. Each model features a titanium bezel with the brand’s eye-catching six ‘claws’ design and the screw-down crown aids an impressive 200-metre water resistance rating.
Each watch is packed with functionality, so a movement that reflects this is necessary. Hence, an ML112 automatic movement powers each titanium timepiece. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and with a 42-hour power reserve, the movement ensures reliable accuracy. Like the previous Aikon models, this movement can be observed through the sapphire crystal exhibition case back. Furthermore, due to the complexity of the movement, it allows for various chronograph functions. Those being seconds by central hand, small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. An ergonomically designed titanium bracelet secures each watch to the wrist. Thanks to titanium’s skin-friendly and lightweight characteristics, these watches are incredibly comfortable to wear.
