The History of Ice-Watch
Ice-Watch was founded by Belgian entrepreneur Jean-Pierre Lutgen at the end of 2006, and has been distributed on the world market since 2007. Ice-Watch proved to be one of the coolest successes on the planet and by 2012 they were the UK’s top fashion watch brand. This same year, Ice-Watch opened their flagship store in Geneva; the home of fine watchmaking. 2014 saw the construction of a 6,000m2 European storage centre. In 2017, the Ice-Watch brand celebrated its 10th anniversary by inviting all its partners and collaborators to Bastogne, Belgium, to participate in a “Surreal dinner” organised by Belgian designer Charles Kaisin. The same year, Jean-Pierre Lutgen was elected Manager of the Year 2017 by Trends Tendances magazine. In 2020, Ice-Watch surprised consumers, again, by launching its first solar-powered watch.
