In exciting news, Longines has announced new Elegant and DolceVita additions! A subtle balance between the classic and the distinct, elegance is one of the hallmarks of Longines watches. It has been a pillar of the brand from the outset and these new additions perfectly express the significance of it. While the Elegant collection is refined in its simplicity the DolceVita line embraces a rectangular Art Deco silhouette. However, with both, you can enjoy the richness of luxury. New Longines Elegant Watches
Wanting to showcase one of their most important core values, in 2014, Longines launched the Elegant Collection. The line highlights the brand’s dedication to producing elegant and luxurious designs while using the most high-end watchmaking technologies. Refined in its simplicity, the Elegant collection is set to imbue Longines’ exclusive style into everyday life.
The three new additions exhibit a matte white dial with a date aperture at 3 o’clock. As well as this is a moonphase display at 6 o’clock. Both pretty and practical, it allows the wearer to easily keep track of the lunar cycle. Reinforcing elegance into each model, the dial also features black painted Roman numerals and silver polished hands. Thanks to the 30mm stainless steel case, each watch perfectly embodies the brand’s classical design and sleek. Moreover, to ensure the design remains in pristine condition, a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects each dial. Although the new Elegant additions are only splash-resistant, they are still perfect for everyday wear. Just make sure to avoid water when wearing the watch.
Housed within each stainless steel case is an L296 quartz movement. Ensuring great reliability and accuracy, the movement features a moonphase function as well as an E.O.L. indicator. Two of the new additions are finished with a leather strap while the third is finished with a stainless steel bracelet (L43304116). The leather straps come in mint green (L43304110) and dark blue (L43304112) and they both fasten with a pin buckle. “Elegance is an attitude” and with one of these new additions on your wrist, you are the perfect embodiment of Longines’ famous slogan.
New DolceVita Watches
Inspired by the sweetness of life, the Longines DolceVita collection was created to remind us to slow down and appreciate every second. The line, which first launched in 1997, takes this philosophy and presents it in a tangible elegant way. As a nod to the original shaped wristwatches from the 1920s, each DolceVita exhibits a rectangular case. This fashionable silhouette is then complemented by the wide range of interchangeable straps that are compatible with the watch. Longines has released various new additions to its DolceVita collection, but two models truly captured our interest; one of them being Kate Winslet’s preferred timepiece.
Enhanced with new leather straps, in an exclusive Longines design, the Mini DolceVita’s ooze Art Deco flair. While they appear to have a similar layout at first glance, there are a few differences in each model. The black version (L52004710) has a silver flinqué dial, whereas the turquoise green (L52004759) has a silver Cosmo dial. Both dials feature blued steel hands and painted Roman numerals, however, the turquoise DolceVita also features baton indices. A small seconds sub-dial is situated at 6 o’clock on both versions for optimal timekeeping. Enhancing the richness of the watch, a rectangular 21.5mm stainless steel case surrounds the dial. Each timepiece is equipped with a high-precision L178 quartz movement and is water-resistant to 30 metres (3 bar). Undeniably the stand-out feature of these new additions, each watch is secured with an elegant double tour leather strap. While the double strap layout creates a beautiful illusion on the wrist, it also provides great protection; further enhanced by the steel tongue buckle.
