Introducing Mühle Glashütte’s S.A.R. Rescue-Timer Edition 1994
The Case and Dial
Unlike the standard version of the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer, this model exhibits a black dial with pure white indices. Like the matte grey stainless steel hands, they are also coated with white SuperLuminova for optimal readability. For a pop of colour, the second hand is blue with a white tip; it corresponds with the 30-minute marker of the same colour within the minute track. Keeping in with the 155-year tradition of the Glashütte watch manufacturer, the 55-minute marker is replaced by a white 155. In addition, on the 30th day of each month, the date display appears in bright light blue.
Giving the 1994 edition its very own character, a 42mm black PVD-coated stainless steel case frames the dial. A Mühle blue rubber bezel also frames the dial; it complements the case greatly. While the watch is new, the wearer can look forward to the familiar advantages of the Mühle tool watch. Aided by the screw-down crown, the watch is water-resistant up to an impressive 1000 metres. Moreover, a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial. To ensure an unclouded view of the dial, the date magnifier is inserted from the inside.
The Movement and Finishing Touches
Housed within the PVD-coated stainless steel case is a SW 200-1, Mühle version, automatic movement. Providing great reliability, the movement features a stop seconds function, quick date correction and a 41-hour power reserve. After the assembly of the finely finished components, the movement is elaborately regulated in six positions using the shock-resistant woodpecker neck regulation system. However, the crowning glory is the exclusive Mühle anniversary rotor. Reserved exclusively for the limited edition 1994 models, it depicts a special engraving. The engraving is produced in an additional work step after the rotor blade has been finished. As a result, the 30th anniversary logo and the lettering ‘Edition 1994’ appear in gold.
A Mühle blue rubber strap concludes the design of the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer Edition 1944. Rounded off by a black DLC-coated stainless steel folding clasp, it echoes the finish of the case perfectly. As well as this, it provides great security on the wrist.
