Much to every Longines fan’s delight, this weekend the brand has announced that it is launching a Mini DolceVita collection. With a diverse selection of eleven models, this new release boasts an impressive variety of pieces to pick from. It extends the 25-year lineage of the brand’s established DolceVita line, which originally took its inspiration from an original 1927 model. United by their slim stainless steel cases and L178 quartz movements, the new releases each boast their own individual character whilst embodying the brand’s core elegant essence. So, without further ado, let’s begin by introducing each of the pieces in the beautiful new Longines Mini DolceVita collection.

Dial Designs
Across the collection, one of our favourite features is definitely the beautiful range of dial designs. For example, Longines has introduced a beautiful new Cosmo-style dial with a circular display inside the rectangular case. Expanding your range of choice, this luxurious new dial design features on three of the eleven new pieces. Upon it, a ring of elegant Roman numerals and the brand’s signature blue hands give the watches their sophisticated feel. Moreover, an extra circular subsidiary seconds display at 6 o’clock only further optimises the practicality of the design.
In keeping with the collection’s predecessors, the new launch also offers two beautiful rectangular-orientated dial designs. As seen on four of the models, the first rectangular design is recognisable for its intricate silver-tone flinqué detailing. Sumptuous blued hands and matching Roman numeral hour markers dress this base design, keeping the elegant heritage of the DolceVita collection alive. Meanwhile, a petite square-shaped subsidiary seconds display simultaneously prioritises style and readability.
However, the second rectangular dial branches into another refreshing new territory for Longines. Breathing a new lease of life into the classic DolceVita aesthetic, the remaining four models feature all-new pastel colour accents. Included in this colour array are mint green, blossom pink, and serene blue and ivory white colourways.

Gilt and Diamond-set Detailing
On the latter-mentioned pastel pieces, the wearer also benefits from gorgeous gilt detailing. In fact, the hue of each of the colourways seems carefully selected both to balance and harmonise with the gilt trimmings. With a light-tone interior guilloche square at its centre, each model features a framing of their respective accent colour. Upon this border, gilt Roman numeral indices denote the hours, whilst a gilt-framed subdial displays the seconds at the 6 o’clock position. To match, two gilt hands tick away at the centre.
Beyond golden accents, there is even more enviable luxury detailing to be admired on these four models too. But, above all, their pièce de résistance is certainly their diamond-set stainless steel cases. Adorned with 38 of the highest quality IFVVS Top Wesselton diamonds, the cases create a dazzling frame that solidifies these pieces as real showstoppers. So, even though the design of each watch is petite at just 21mm in width, these new Mini DolceVitas sit loudly and proudly on the wrist.
However, those desperate for this enviable glamorous touch on the monochrome steel models will be pleased that there are also two diamond-set editions of the classic Mini DolceVitas too (L5.200.0.71.6 and L5.200.0.75.6).

Finishing Touches
Another advantage of such a broad collection is the variety of straps available. Four of the classic-looking Mini DolceVitas feature a stunning 198-link stainless steel bracelet, letting the watch sit slinkily and snugly on the wrist. At the back, this fastens with a butterfly clasp for a secure fit. Alternatively, some of the flinqué and Cosmo dial models come with an alligator leather buckle strap. Here, the brand offers a choice between a bold red and versatile black strap.
But on the colourful models, this is taken a step further. For added opulence, each of the noble alligator leather straps has additional gilt detailing too.
There are also several universal features across all eleven models that make them a more than worthwhile investment. For example, offering impressive protection whilst maximising the legibility of each dial is a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. On both its interior and exterior, the glass has several layers of anti-reflective coating to minimise glare.
With lots to love both aesthetically and functionally about these gorgeous new pieces, we can’t wait for them to hit the shelves.
