Good news for art lovers: all-new Swatch Art Journey 2023 watches are now available at First Class Watches! The collection develops upon Swatch’s historic relationship with the art industry, transforming iconic works of art into wearable masterpieces. Back in March, the brand released four collaborative timepieces with the likes of MoMA and the Foundation Magritte.
The next instalment of the collection features dreamy collaborations with the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Le Gallerie degli Uffizi in Florence, Italy. Accordingly, the new three models feature more classical pieces than the previous four. Romantic, idyllic, and dreamlike, each model gives you the opportunity to take a piece of your favourite artwork with you wherever you go. In true Swatch fashion, these beautiful paintings are given a new lease of life with the brand’s playful style. All models have 3 bar water resistance and are powered by a quartz movement, making them perfect for everyday wear.

Swatch Louvre Abu Dhabi THE GREAT WAVE BY HOKUSAI & ASTROLABE SUOZ351
The Louvre Abu Dhabi is home to stunning ancient artworks, such as The Great Wave by Hokusai. Marine blue waves from the artwork wash over the plastic case, dial, and silicone strap of the watch. As an extra special added touch, Swatch marries this painting with the design of an astrolabe artefact by Muhammad ibn Ahmad Al-Battûtî. Featured on the underside of the strap, the ancient astrolabe shows a projection of the night sky. This strap is fastened with a blue plastic buckle and a watch loop printed with the museum’s logo. Finishing touches on the dial include black hour and minute hands, as well as a bright red seconds hand. Unique and masterful, this watch allows the art aficionado to admire the details of Hokusai’s masterpiece whenever they please.
Swatch Le Gallerie Degli Uffizi NASCITA DI VENERE BY SANDRO BOTTICELLI GZ360
Renowned for its Renaissance collection, the first of the two Uffizi collaborations features Sandro Botticelli’s ‘Nascita di Venere’. Also known as the ‘Birth of Venus’, the painting is one of the most famous works of the Italian Renaissance. Framed by a light blue plastic case, the dial focuses on the faces of the god Zephyr and the nymph. Complementing the faces are two gold-tone tapered hands, which enhance the pastel colour palette of the piece. A close-up of Venus extends over the top half of the watch’s silicone strap, whilst the bottom half concentrates on the background’s floral details. To finish the strap, there is a plastic buckle fastening and a blue strap loop featuring Uffizi’s logo. This model is the smallest of the three, with its case measuring 34mm wide and 8.75mm thick. For any Renaissance fan, this watch is worth every penny.
Swatch Le Gallerie degli Uffizi ALLEGORIA DELLA PRIMAVERA BY BOTTICELLI SUOZ357
Embrace the serenity of springtime with Swatch’s second Botticelli-inspired timepiece. This watch’s design focuses on a segment to the right-hand side of Botticelli’s ‘Allegoria della Primavera’. The dial and strap exhibit the fruiting trees in the background of the painting, whilst Flora, the goddess of spring and flowers is seen on the bottom half of the silicone strap. Larger than its counterpart, this pink transparent plastic case measures 41mm in width and 9.85mm in thickness. The model features the same Uffizi logo watch loop as the previous model, but in yellow. Mythological and ethereal, this is a truly stunning piece at a brilliant price.
