Seastar 1000 Gent Automatic
Earlier in the year, Tissot launched two new Seastar 1000 Gent Automatic watches in two new shades. These watches are perfectly designed for divers and water sports enthusiasts and they as water resistant up to a pressure of 30 bar (300 metres). The bright dial of each model is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and framed by a black ceramic bezel.
These models are available with a blue dial (T1204071104102) or a green dial (T1204071109100). Both feature luminous indices and hands for easy readability in the dark, and a date aperture at 6 o’clock for optimal timekeeping. The dial of each watch is framed by a 316L stainless steel case that measures 43mm in width and 12.7mm in thickness.
Both of the new Seastar 1000 Gent Automatic models are an exciting addition to the collection as they are powered by a Swiss automatic Powermatic 80.111 movement. This movement uses 23 jewels and provides the watch with a power reserve of up to 80 hours. Both models are finished with a stainless steel bracelet that fastens with a jewellery clasp.
Seastar 1000 Chrono Quartz
Slightly later in the year, Tissot launched three new Seastar 1000 Chrono Quartz models. One features a red dial (T1204171742100), another a blue dial (T1204171104102), and the final model has a green dial (T1204171109100). Each of the models are powered by a quartz ETA G10.212 movement. The watches have 30-minutes and 1/10 of a second counters, ADD and SPLIT functions and a central 60-seconds chronograph hand. The watches all have an end-of-life function.
The dial of each of the watches features luminous hands and indices with a date aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock. A black unidirectional steel bezel with an aluminium ring surrounds the dials and scratch resistant sapphire crystal protects it. The crystal is treated to be antireflective on both sides to ensure that the dial can be read clearly under bright light.
Each of these new watches is completed with a stainless steel case that measures 45.5mm in width and 12.8mm in thickness. Each of the three watches features a screw down crown and case back which aids in the water resistance rating of up to 30 bar (300 metres). The red dial model comes with a black silicone strap and both the blue and green dial models are finished with a stainless steel bracelet.
