Oris launched the Cotton Candy collection with the goal of creating watches that embody the concept of spring bringing new hope. The new watches form part of the brand’s classic Divers Sixty Five collection and have adopted some key traits of the iconic models. The new models are available in a range of fun and bright spring inspired colours to ensure that there is a perfect all new Oris Cotton Candy collection model for every collector.
The Collection
The all new Oris Cotton Candy collection is named as such as the brand designed each of the watches with the hope of evoking feelings of warmth and optimism for better times in those who wear their watches. The watches all use the same all-bronze case, bezel and crown design as the Hölstein Edition 2020 to give a striking and unusual look to the watch. The new designs provide the addition of fun and bright dial colours to this bronze case, with the options of sky blue, wild green and lipstick pink. Oris carefully selected the case size to make the watches intentionally unisex with a comfortable 38mm diameter.
As the new Cotton Candy collection is part of the Divers Sixty Five family, the watches all have the same sapphire crystal and Super-LumiNova filled indices and hands that are recognisable traits within this range. Additionally, each of the new watches is water resistant up to 100 metres (10 bar).
The Movement
Each of the all new Oris Cotton Candy collection watches are powered by an Oris 733 (base SW 200-1) automatic winding date movement. This movement has instantaneous date, date corrector, fine timing device and stop second functions. It uses 26 jewels and 28’800 A/h to power the watch, providing it with a power reserve of up to 38 hours.
The All New Oris Cotton Candy Collection Watches
The new watches area available with a range of dial colours, with options for a green, blue or pink dial. Domed sapphire glass protects each of the dials. It has been treated to be antireflective on the inside. The dial of each model is framed by a multipiece bronze case that features a bronze minute scale bezel. The case back is screw fastened and made of stainless steel. The bronze screw in security crown will contribute towards the water resistance rating of up to 100 metres (10 bar).
The Pink Dial with Bracelet or Leather Strap
This model features an eye-catching pink dial with baton indices and hands that are filled with light “old radium” Super-LumiNova. The dial exhibits a date aperture in the 6 o’clock position on the dial for optimal timekeeping. The pink shade of the dial is a quintessential springtime pink, making it perfect for styling with any other bright or pastel shades. This model can be paired with either a multipiece bronze metal bracelet that fastens with a folding clasp, or with a brown leather strap that fastens with a stainless steel folding clasp.
The Green Dial with Bracelet or Leather Strap
Green is a colour that is often associated with springtime due to its connotations with new life and nature. The colour green is also very on trend currently, especially within the horological industry, so this model is the perfect watch for spring styling. The green dial features Super-LumiNova hands and indices with a date aperture at 6 o’clock. This watch can be worn with either a matching bronze bracelet or a brown leather strap.
The Blue Dial with Bracelet or Leather Strap
The bronze bezel and case of this watch perfectly contrasts the blue shade of the dial. “Old radium” Super-LumiNova on the indices and hands ensures that the dial can be read easily in the dark. The bronze-coloured hands and date aperture create a pleasant contrast against the blue dial. This model creates an eye-catching look on the wrist whether it is paired with the bronze bracelet or the brown leather strap.
