The All-New Seiko 5 Sports x HUF Limited Edition Watch
The Case and Dial
Inspired by a Seiko Regatta Timer from 1969, the silver-blue dial features a date-day aperture at the 3 o’clock position and various retro-coloured elements around its outer edge. In addition to this, the dial exhibits silver-tone baton indices and hour and minute hands with a Lumibrite coating. The second hand, and part of the minute scale, are light green. Not only do they add splashes of colour to the design but they also reinforce HUF’s iconic branding. The HUF logo also features just below the central hands. Ensuring the watch can withstand the bumps and knocks that come with daily wear, a curved Hardlex crystal protects the dial. Seiko’s 5 Sports timepieces are known for their reliability, durability, performance and value; and thanks to these features, this collaborative model makes no exception.
Measuring 42.5mm in diameter, a stainless steel case frames the dial. An inclusive size that complements an array of wrists, it ensures the watch can be worn by whoever wants to create their own future in style. A unidirectional rotating fluted bezel also frames the dial. With a luminous circle at the 12 o’clock position, it further contributes to the watch’s high levels of legibility. Moreover, aided by the recessed crown, the watch is water-resistant up to 100 metres.
The Movement and Finishing Touches
This limited edition collaboration features an automatic 4R36 calibre movement. Using 24 jewels, and with a 41-hour power reserve, it promises a precise, reliable and accurate timekeeping experience. Sure to never let you down, this movement ensures the watch is the ultimate companion for daily wear. For an extra touch, the wearer can view the movement through the exhibition case back. In the iconic HUF green, the case back features engraved specifications as well as the HUF logo at its centre.
A durable stainless steel bracelet concludes the design of this watch. Sleek and sophisticated, it is the perfect finishing touch to this collaborative timepiece.
