New Additions to the Longines Spirit Collection

LONGINES SPIRIT ZULU TIME GMT Titanium Automatic (39mm) Anthracite Dial / Titanium Bracelet L38021536

A pilot’s watch through and through, this Longines impresses with its sleek and simple design. The anthracite dial features applied Arabic numerals, gilt hour, minute and second hands, and a functional date aperture at 6 o’clock. As well as this, a red-tipped GMT hand, which is intrinsically linked to Longines’ history and pioneering spirit. To ensure optimal legibility, each of the hands and Arabic numerals features a Super-LumiNova coating. This way, the time is always visible; even in low-light conditions and complete darkness. Further highlighting this great readability, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial. With several layers of anti-reflective coating on both sides, it guarantees great clarity, which is essential for a watch of this kind.

Protecting the core of this new addition is a 39mm Grade 5 titanium case. While rugged and robust, it makes for an extremely lightweight watch. A bidirectional rotating bezel also frames the dial. Its matte black and intense polished black ceramic inset offers a subtle contrast to the very dark tone of grey used for the dial. The case houses the exclusive, chronometer-certified, Longines GMT calibre L844.4; an automatic movement with a monocrystalline silicone balance spring and a 72-hour power reserve. Furthermore, thanks to the screw-down crown, the watch is water resistant up to 100 metres. Sleek and sophisticated, a Grade 5 titanium bracelet concludes the design of this timepiece. Its double safety folding clasp ensures both great security and comfort on the wrist.

LONGINES Spirit Flyback Automatic Chronometer (42mm) Green Dial / Green Leather Strap L38215532

Playing with tones and green and gold, this Longines immediately catches the eye with its rich design. The shaded matte green dial features applied Arabic numerals and gilt hands; both with a Swiss Super-LumiNova coating. As well as this, the dial exhibits two sub-dials that showcase small seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock. To ensure this display remains in pristine condition, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with several layers of anti-reflective coating on both sides protects it. Measuring 42mm in diameter, a stainless steel case and green ceramic bidirectional rotating bezel frame the dial. Unlike conventional chronographs, this Spirit Flyback allows the wearer to stop, reset and restart the chronograph hand with one press of the 18-carat gold pusher; the oversized crown and cap are also in this luxurious material.

A testament to Longines’ vast watchmaking heritage, this Spirit Flyback revives the flyback movement that was first used by the brand in 1925. An automatic movement with a monocrystalline silicon balance spring and a 68-hour power reserve, it provides high levels of precision and accuracy. As well as this, the movement comes with various chronograph features that further add to the functionality of the timepiece. For an added touch, this movement can be viewed through the sapphire crystal exhibition case back. Adding to the watch’s timeless appeal, and also giving it a more vintage look, a green leather strap secures it to the wrist.
