The Re-Edition of Sinn’s 903 Navigation Chronograph Series

The Dial and Case

As previously mentioned, the re-edition 903 models are available in three different dial variations: black sunburst (903.090), dark blue with a luminous ivory coating (903.091) and a limited edition light blue sunburst (903.095). The black and dark blue models feature a date aperture at the 4:30 position. Elevated to an unparalleled level, each dial features three sub-dials. As well as this, each dial features hour and minute hands, and a number “12” and baton indices; all of which are made of hybrid ceramic luminous elements. Sapphire crystal glass protects the dial of each watch. While it offers great clarity, thanks to its anti-reflective treatment on both sides, it also provides good levels of durability.

Polished and satinized, a 41mm stainless steel case frames each dial. A silver electroplated bezel also frames the dial. Its logarithmic scale and slide rule function calculate times and distances, so each watch is the perfect travelling companion. Aided by the screw-fastened case back and winding screwable crown, each watch is both water-resistant and pressure-resistant to 20 bar. In fact, all three models meet the technical requirements for waterproofness; as set out in standard DIN 8310. The watches are also resistant to low-pressure.

The Movement and Finishing Touches

Through the transparent sapphire glass case back, the wearer can observe the column wheel chronograph movement which powers each timepiece; which has a power reserve of at least 60 hours when fully wound. While all watches are powered by said automatic mechanical movement, the black and dark blue dialled models feature an LJP L110 calibre and the light blue features an LJP L112 calibre. Each movement uses 26 jewels and beats at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour. Moreover, the movement includes a seconds stop function and it is anti-magnetic as per DIN 8309.

Ensuring there is a 903 Navigation Chronograph Series model for all, the watches secure to the wrist with different styles of strap. The 903 St II black model (903.090) comes with a fine-link stainless steel bracelet and the 903 St BE II dark blue model (903.091) features a mocha-brown leather strap. However, the limited edition 903 St HB light blue model (903.095) comes in a set with both a fine-link stainless steel bracelet and a brown horsehide strap with a contrasting white seam.

While this trio of 903 watches are not in stock yet, they are available to pre-order. So click here to view them on our website and pre-order to avoid disappointment.
