Today, we are excited to share the all-new Seiko 5 Sports SNXS ‘Classic Sports’ watches! This launch consists of three brand-new timepieces that are sure to be well-received by fans of the brand. Seiko’s 5 Sports collection is known for over 50 years of reliability, durability, performance and value. These watches were designed with five key features: an automatic movement, a day date display, water resistance, a recessed crown and a durable case and bracelet. These new models capture these original values and combine them with modern materials and technologies.
This new release continues the evolution of the long-standing 5 Sports SNXS series. Combining the design principles of the originals and modern Seiko movements, the watches are the quintessential 5 Sports timepieces. With a theme of ‘Classic Sports’, the all-new Seiko 5 Sports SNXS watches takes the essence of the 70s 5 Sport models and injects them with modern specifications and style.
The All-New Seiko 5 Sports SNXS ‘Classic Sports’ Watches
This launch consists of three new models. Each model exhibits the same design but with a different dial colour. ‘Beige Chinos’ features a classically elegant beige-coloured dial whilst ‘Rinse Blue’ exhibits an on-trend blue dial. ‘Deep Black Wash’ is the most traditional design with a minimalist black dial.
The Dial and Movement
The dial of each watch is adorned with baton indices and wide, rectangular hands. The design on the hands is evocative of the retro timepiece that inspires this launch. The second hand on each model is bright orange, making it easy to track around the dial. The hands and indices are treated with Lumibrite to ensure the dial can be read in the dark. Hardlex crystal protects the dial and its features, including a day date display.
These watches are each powered by an in-house calibre 4R36 movement. This movement is accurate to +45/-35 seconds and provides up to 41 hours of power reserve. The movement can be viewed through the exhibition case back, allowing the wearer to enjoy the reliable movement that powers their new timepiece.
The Case and Bracelet
Constructed from stainless steel, the case of this watch provides a robust home for the automatic movement. The case measures 37.3mm in diameter and 12.5mm in depth, ensuring a comfortable fit on the wrist. It is paired with a matching stainless steel bracelet for a modern and cohesive look. A three-fold clasp with a push button release fastens the bracelet. To ensure this timepiece can be worn for almost any occasion, these timepieces are water resistant up to 10 bar.
