The Inspiration Behind the Timepiece
Seiko’s Style 60s collection is inspired by the original 1964 ‘Crown Chronograph’ watch. This watch perfectly captured the essence of the 1960s in its design. It also marked the first chronograph in a watch for Seiko, making it a stand-out piece of the brand’s history. This new watch accurately recreates the original and pays homage to its heritage.
The design of the new timepiece recreates the original bezel design and its delicate lugs by maintaining the same size and proportions. It also exhibits the same dial layout, colourway and finish as its predecessor. The bracelet is also based on the original design but has been updated with a hairline and mirror finish. As a final flourish, the box of this watch is also created using the same colours and textures as the original, ensuring unboxing this timepiece is a true experience.

This dial is protected by Hardlex crystal and framed by a black bezel. The watch features a stainless steel case that has been treated with a super-hard coating, ensuring optimal durability and scratch resistance. This case measures 39.5mm in diameter and 12mm in depth. An exhibition case back can also be found on this watch. This luxurious feature exposes the automatic movement within. The calibre 4R35 movement provides a power reserve of up to 41 hours. The watch is finished with a stainless steel bracelet that is secured with a three-fold clasp with a push button release.
