The Dial
This new watch exhibits a night blue dial with luminescent baton indices and hands. Keeping true to the nature of Herbelin’s Newport collection, the dial of this watch follows a nautical theme. Its wave texture represents the seabed of the Gulf of Saint-Malo. The red seconds hand provides a playful contrast to the blue and grey colour scheme; it adds to the watch’s nautical yet sporty style. For added functionality, there is a date and day display at the 3 o’clock position. Like all watches in the Newport collection, scratch-resistant sapphire glass protects the dial. Not only does it provide high clarity but it provides the watch with great durability levels.
The Case, Movement & Finishing Touches
The watch features a 43mm case which is made entirely from forged carbon. As well as this, it exhibits a case back made from DLC-treated titanium. Due to the properties of these materials, the watch is reliably robust as well as extremely lightweight. Thanks to its transparent glass, the case back offers the wearer the opportunity to admire its automatic movement. The Sellita 11 ½ SW220-1 Automatic Calibre provides this watch with a 41-hour power reserve, so when wearing this watch you’re always ready for any challenge! This new Herbelin is water-resistant to 200 metres and is finished with a high-performance FKM elastomer strap. For optimal comfort, it fastens with a standard buckle clasp.
Ready to take on the toughest challenges, Newport Carbon Titanium is supporting cyclist Valentin Maduoas; the 2023 French National Road Race champion. He chose this model for its distinctive design, but above all, for its lightness and robustness.
