Seiko has expanded its iconic 5 Sports collection with two new Field models. These all-new Seiko 5 Sports Field watches have been created with an ‘in the field’ military design. The timepieces take inspiration from the original ‘trench watches’. Designed to be robust and reliable in tough conditions, these new watches are the perfect companion for any mission.
The Seiko 5 Sports collection now has over 50 years of reliability, durability, performance and value under its belt. The collection is named ‘5’ to emphasise its 5 key characteristics: automatic movements, day date displays, after resistance, recessed crown and durable case and bracelet. These new models stand out from others in the collection thanks to their GMT function which is used to track a second time zone. The bezel of both of the new models features a 24-hour indication and a large orange GMT hand to enhance legibility and functionality.

The two new additions to Seiko’s 5 Sports collection exhibit a design that is reminiscent of the original ‘trench watch’ models. The appearance of these timepieces remains the same, but the calibres continue to evolve and progress.
Seiko 5 Sports Field ‘Deception’ Mechanical GMT SSK025K1
This model exhibits an all-black colour palette, aptly suited to the name ‘Deception’. The black dial is adorned with glowing Arabic numerals and hands. A date display is featured in the 3 o’clock position. A black bezel and black stainless steel case frame the dial. The case is treated with a super hard coating ensuring extra durability. Measuring 39.4mm in diameter, the case is sure to make a statement on the wrist whilst remaining comfortable to wear for long periods. The case is also detailed with an exhibition case back, exposing the calibre 4R34 automatic movement within. This model is secured using a black leather strap.
Seiko 5 Sports Field ‘Deploy’ Mechanical GMT SSK023K1
Similarly to the previous model, this watch features a black dial with glowing details. This luminescence ensures that the dial can be easily read in the dark. Curved Hardlex crystal protects the dial, providing a good level of durability. A stainless steel case and bezel frame the dial. The classic silver tone of the metal makes the watch easy to style for every day or creates a classic military-inspired aesthetic. The exhibition caseback provides an insight into the mechanics of the automatic movement that provides the watch with a 41-hour power reserve. With a water resistance of up to 10 bar, this watch can be worn in almost any scenario.
