The New Oris Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph (40mm) with either a Strap or Bracelet
Case and Dial
Protecting the core design of each watch is a multi-piece stainless steel case complete with a unidirectionally rotating bezel. For a versatile fit, this measures a healthy 40mm in diameter and sits snugly on a range of wrist sizes. Within it, a black curved dial topped with silver applied indices and three matching central hands takes centre stage. Optimising the legibility of the watch even in low light conditions, both the hands and indices feature a SuperLuminova inlay.
The watch’s functions are also shared sensibly across the dial. At the centre of the design are hands for hours, minutes and the chronograph 1/4 seconds. Meanwhile, the two subdials display the chronograph’s 30-minute counter and continuous seconds.
Overleaf, a screw-down stainless steel case back locks in a generous 100 metres of water resistance. Offering one final seal of protection, a double-domed sapphire crystal encases the topside of the dial. In addition to its durable structure, the glass features an interior anti-reflective coating to simultaneously enhance the dial’s readability.
Movement and Finishing Touches
Mechanically, there is also lots to love about the new Oris Divers Sixty-Five chronograph launches. Beating at the heart of the model is the brand’s 771, which is an automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve and 27 jewels. Other benefits of this calibre include a stop-second function as well as a fine-timing device for added precision.
This new piece offers a choice of either a bracelet (01 771 7791 4054-07 8 20 18) or a strap (01 771 7791 4054-07 6 20 01). Giving the watch a classically sporty silhouette, the stainless steel bracelet option fastens securely with a folding clasp. Alternatively, for those who prefer a strap, this new model also offers a black strap edition. Crafted with sustainably-sourced black Cervo Volante deer leather, this model offers a comfortable fit and is secured with a stainless steel buckle.
With their charming vintage feel and enviable performance, we think these new pieces will certainly be a hit. But what do you think of these new Oris Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph launches? Drop a comment below with your thoughts below.
