Hamilton‘s Khaki Field collection is famed for its ruggedness and functionality and is favoured by adventure-ready people across the globe. The brand has used the new Expedition models to introduce new functionalities and refreshed style to the iconic Khaki Field collection.
The All-New Hamilton Khaki Field Expedition Collection
No detail has been missed in the design of his brand-new collection. Each timepiece has perfectly balanced proportions and superior ergonomics to ensure comfortable wear. Hamilton says the all-new Hamilton Khaki Field Expedition watches are “sturdy and efficient, [they are] sleek for the city and tough when you need it.” Perfectly designed for adventure, the new watches are equipped with a bidirectional rotating compass bezel marked with the cardinal points. As well as being an attractive design feature, this component will ensure the wearer is never truly lost.
The Watches
Hamilton has ensured that there is an Expedition timepiece for every collector by launching four colourways in two case sizes. A variety of dial colours and strap combinations mean that every Hamilton fan will fall in love with one of these new timepieces.
The Dial and Movement
There are three dial colours available in this new collection: black, white and blue. Hamilton has stuck to its well-loved military colour palette, allowing these new timepieces to slot seamlessly into the brand’s portfolio. Each dial exhibits a minimalist textured finish to enhance legibility. This is combined with Arabic numerals with a Superluminova coating to ensure the dial can be read in any lighting condition. The dial is protected by durable and scratch-resistant anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The watch features a three-hand display that is powered by an H-10 automatic movement. This movement provides up to 80 hours of power reserve. It is also equipped with a Nivachron balance spring which will reduce the effects of magnetism and therefore improve reliability.
The Case and Finishing Touches
Each Expedition model case is crafted from brushed stainless steel. The watches are available in a 37mm or 41mm case size so there is a perfect model for every adventurer. The cases measure 11.45mm in depth to provide a safe housing for the movement within whilst also remaining comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. A screw-down crown and 10 bar water resistance rating mean that the wearer can wear their watch in most weather conditions without being concerned.
The strap options available in this new collection continue the strong military aesthetic of Hamilton’s Khaki Field collection. The black dial models are available with either a green leather strap (H70225830 or H70315830) or a stainless steel bracelet (H70225130 or H70315130). The white dial model is perfectly paired with a dark brown leather strap (H70225510 or H70315510). Finally, a tan-brown leather strap is a companion to the blue dial model (H70225540 or H70315540).
