Today, Swiss watchmaker Maurice Lacroix announced its new Lidija Lijic x PONTOS S Diver series. Reimagining its first-generation models, the new PONTOS S Divers build upon the iconic aesthetic design with added mechanical enhancements. Refined facets of the watches include slimmer baton indices, as well as an added raised border to the date display. To assure its reliability, the brand appointed champion freediver Lidija Lijić to help with the series’ development. Lijić consistently pushes the boundaries of her sport and even holds the record for staying underwater for almost six minutes. Her diving prowess in conjunction with Maurice Lacroix’s outstanding craftsmanship makes for a truly accomplished addition to the PONTOS collection. Available in three colourways, each watch is designed to make a statement both on and off dry land.
The New Maurice Lacroix x Lidija Lijić PONTOS S Diver Watches
Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver Bronze Limited Edition (42mm) Blue Dial / Blue Vintage Leather + Blue Rubber PT6248-BRZ0B-430-4
For the first time in the collection’s history, the PONTOS S Diver features a bronze case. Measuring 42mm, the case beautifully frames the luxurious blue dial which features a subtle grain texture. Bronze-framed baton indices adorn the circumference of the dial and match the bronze hour, minute and second hands. For extra-precise timekeeping, between the hour markers are slim minute markers. With the darkness of the sea’s depths in mind, the indices and hands have been coated with Super-LumiNova® luminescent treatment. As an added functional detail, there is also a framed date display that overlays the 6 o’clock marker.
Encircling the indices is a blue internal bezel. Its white indices contrast those of the main dial but echo white accents on the strap. The bezel is adjustable through the dedicated crown on the upper right side of the case. Below it, a second crown is positioned at 3 o’clock. This crown both manually winds the movement and adjusts the various indications on the dial.
Sealing the watch is a sapphire crystal. Its robust construction protects the watch from water damage up to an impressive 300 metres. This also serves to defend the brand’s in-house ML115 calibre automatic movement, which beats beneath the dial.
The bronze version of the PONTOS S Diver is limited to only 500 pieces, so you will have to act fast. Moreover, it also comes with two straps included. The first, made from vintage dark blue leather, is proudly printed with the brand’s ‘M’ logo. Delicate white contrast stitching gives this strap an elegant appearance. Crafted from versatile dark blue rubber, the second strap prioritises comfort and is embossed with the Maurice Lacroix name. Facilitating the changing of the straps, the model is equipped with the brand’s Easy Strap Exchange System.
Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver (42mm) Black Dial / Orange Rubber Multi-Strap Set PT6248-SS00L-330-J
One of the two stainless steel options, this first model has a more punchy design than its counterparts. Similarly to the bronze edition, it features a grainy black dial set into a 42mm stainless steel case. Its silver-framed baton indices and hands are sleek and create a contrast against the dial’s dark colour. However, orange detailing on the minute and second hands introduces contemporary character to an otherwise classic dial design. Additionally, twelve orange dot indices reinforce the division between the internal bezel and the dial. For added practicality, luminescent Super-LumiNova® coating optimises the legibility of these main indices.
The black dial PONTOS S Diver is as mechanically competent as the bronze edition. Carefully constructed to preserve water resistance up to 300 metres, a sapphire crystal extends over the dial. At the heart of the model, Maurice Lacroix’s mighty ML115 calibre automatic movement powers the watch.
Generously, the price of this model includes three straps, which each fasten with a stainless steel pin buckle. For a fun statement to add a splash of colour to your look, the first is an orange rubber strap. The second and third straps are both black, one rubber and one textile. Both the rubber straps exhibit a branded Maurice Lacroix relief. For a seamless strap switch, this model also has an Easy Strap Exchange System that requires no tools.

The final white edition of the model is the second of the stainless steel colourways. It exhibits many of the same physical and mechanical attributes as the others, with its primary difference being its colour palette.
At the centrepiece of the design, the matte white dial makes the watch instantly noticeable on the wrist. Accenting the design are blue details, such as framing around the hands and the minute markers. In addition to this, the Arabic numerals on the bezel are also proudly blue.
To accessorise this colour scheme, a blue rubber strap completes the model. However, to adapt to different styles and tastes, the set comes with two more straps too. These include an identical rubber strap in white, as well as a fabric blue strap for a more polished look.
