The Limited Edition Payoon Watch 01 400 7763 4117-Set
Oris has teamed up with local conservationists and communities from the island of Koh Libong, Thailand to produce this stunning limited edition timepiece. both groups are deeply committed to conserving the 170 dugongs that reside around the island. The dugong is a cousin of the manatee and has a dolphin-like tail, making them a truly beautiful marine animal. This watch is limited to just 250 pieces, making it incredibly desirable and collectable for both fans of the brand and this impressive creature. The watch uses Oris’s iconic Aquis Date Calibre 400 design to ensure a high quality, reliable and classic finish.
The Dial and Movement
The dial of this watch is designed in a unique green colour. This specific shade of green is inspired by the colour of the water that surrounds Koh Libong. This dial is adorned with hands and indices that have been treated with Superluminova. This allows the details of the dial to be read easily in the dark and underwater. The dial also features a date display. Domed and anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial, providing a good level of durability to the watch. This is perfectly framed by a grey relief bezel. The bezel is designed in a specific shade of grey that is reminiscent of the colour of the dugong’s skin. This watch is powered by an automatic date movement. The movement provides the watch with up to 120 hours of power reserve, meaning that the wearer is never left unaware.
The Case and Finishing Touches
The case of this watch is made of high-quality and durable stainless steel. It measures 43.5mm in diameter to create a comfortable and eye-catching feel on the wrist. The back of the case has some very unique details to emphasise the limited edition nature of the watch. It features an engraving of a dugong mother and her calf. The case also features a screw-in crown which aids with the water resistance rating of up to 30 bar. This rating will mean that the watch can be worn for most swimming and diving activities.
