The Material
The new Swatch BioCeramic watches are made of a brand-new in-house creation. This new material is made of two thirds ceramic and one third bio-sourced plastic. Swatch have debuted the new BioCeramic material on their iconic BigBold design. The BigBold has a 47mm see through case that allows the wearer to see some of the brightly coloured movement within. The larger size of case allows for the BioCeramic to take centre stage as this model has a large surface area. The BioCeramic BigBold models have a BioCeramic case with a bio-sourced plastic bracelet, glass and hoops. Each model comes in a bold colour to ensure that there is a new Swatch BioCeramic watch for every collector.
The New Swatch BioCeramic Watches
The watches in this new collection each feature a transparent dial that exposes the coloured movement within. The colour of the movement perfectly matches the colour of the case and strap of each model. Each watch has a BioCeramic case that measures 47mm in diameter. The crown of each of the watches is placed in the 2 o’clock position so that it does not put pressure of the back of the hand. This small design element makes each of the watches comfortable to wear.
Each BioCeramic watch is powered by a precise and reliable quartz movement. The watches are all splash resistant, so they will be able to withstand the very small amounts of water that they may be exposed to during day-to-day life. All of the watches are finished with a strap that is made of bio-sourced material and fastens with an aluminium buckle. The colour of the strap coordinates with the colour of the rest of the watch.
The new Swatch BioCeramic watches come in a choice of black, grey, pale blue, white, and pale pink. This varied and extensive colour range ensures that there is a BioCeramic model for every Swatch enthusiast.
