Choose the right movement
If you are familiar with the watch industry then you may already know the different types of watch movements and the pros and cons of each. The preference for watch movement is individual and based on your lifestyle and requirements when choosing an accessory.

Is this watch an investment?
If you are new to the watch industry then the world of investment may seem like a daunting term. High end, luxury watches can be considered as an investment, however, there are a few factors to consider when determining if the watch that you are buying is an investment.
Watches crafted by the well known brand, Rolex, would often be considered an investment. If you own a Rolex or are thinking about purchasing one, this is a good place to start. There is usually a waiting list to purchase particular models and over time, these models will gain value. It is even better if the watch is limited edition. Limited edition watches from other brands such as Omega and Oris can also possible be considered as an investment, however, this is determined by how many pieces are sold around the word, the smaller the amount the higher value the timepiece will become over time.
Will this timepiece suit your lifestyle?
Similarly to style, you want to pick a timepiece that suits your needs and lifestyle. If you are looking to purchase a watch to wear occasionally, perhaps for formal occasions then a dress watch with minimal complications maybe for you. On the other hand if you are looking for a timepiece to wear everyday for a more professional environment you may want a watch with automatic movement as these are low maintenance.
