G-Shock are a brand who are constantly setting new standards, whether it be for timekeeping, toughness or design. The latest is the 90’s retro sports theme watches, but we have also seen a great range of new watches in the past few months too! The first of the three G-Shock retro 90’s models is the GAW-100BL-1AER, based on the popular GAW-100B-1AER Waveceptor model.
This retro design features a black resin case, accented by a band that has been layered with purple and turquiose details, giving you the intergalactic feel that was so popular throughout the 90’s!
This model has been able to merge a vintage design with one of G-Shock’s most modern pieces, that includes a solar powered movement for on the go charging. It also comes fitted with an average speed calculator, and also benefits from 200m water resistance too.
Next, following the same blue and purple accenting, is the GW-B5600, similar to the GW-B5600HR-1ER Heritage model! This model is expected to be a popular one, as the rectangular dial is one of the most iconic silhouettes from the brand!
A more subtle colouring on this piece, with less colour, but just as much style! featuring neon purple highlights on the bezel, and more bright accenting, this model is given an almost low-tech look!
Despite this look, the model still features the expected technologies inside! It also comes with a bi-colour molded band, that is black on the outer layer, and turquoise inside. A consistent feature through the collection!
The third model in the range is inspired by the countless cult classics produced in the 90’s. This model has been updated with a futuristic colourway, with the clever use of neon purples, blue and greens. This colouring gives the piece a multi-dimensional look, which is completely out of this world!
This watch is the medium size range, and gives the wearer an easy-to-read analogue and digital dial. A 55mm diameter, and 200m water resistance makes this watch an ideal utility piece for all kinds of adventures. The perfect retro sports style G-Shock.
