The MVMT Watches Story
It is impressive how successful and popular MVMT have become, being a relatively new brand, founded in 2013. Co-founders, Jake Kassan and Kramer Laplante started the brand to disrupt the fashion industry, and change the overpriced and outdated styles they were used to.
The first line of watches was produced with the help of people all over the globe, through crowdfunding investments/donations. This allowed them to raise the capital needed, and let them produce watches that people would love. This first line offered minimalist designs, with a quality feel, yet at a radically fair price.
The hype around these first watches helped take the business off almost instantly, forcing them to upscale from their LA home! It grew so fast that within a short period of time they has a global community of over 1.5 million MVMT owners, and counting! With a further 5 million across their social media platforms too!
The brand is inspired by a number of things, not only by their own desires, and what they want from a watch, but from everyone else too. They are inspired by, and work closely with innovators, dreamers and go-getters to produce the best product they can. They use this to build watches that can be used for anything!
