Where The Brand Began
Rebecca Minkoff is a brand that many of you will have already heard of. A leader in the industry of accessible luxury handbags, accessories, footwear and other apparel. The brand aims to provide playful and subtly edgy designs that can be seen around the world on fashion forward women and celebrities alike.
Rebecca Minkoff, the woman behind the brand, first found her love for fashion whilst in the costume department of her high school. This led to her dream of becoming a fashion designer, which she took a huge step towards achieving when she moved to New York City at the age of 18. Following her success here, Rebecca, and brother Uri (CEO and co-founder of Rebecca Minkoff) started the company, named after Rebecca, and ran by the brother-sister team. The support of Uri helped to develop the company hugely in recent years, as he was able to introduce and pioneer the company’s industry-leading social media efforts. Uri has since introduced his own collection of distinct menswear and timepieces.

Today, Rebecca Minkoff has grown in to a global brand. With a wide range of products, including handbags, footwear, jewelry and accessories (including tech). In the past couple of years, Rebecca Minkoff Watches has been launched too. These modern, and stylish timepieces re-imagine the category through their decidedly downtown, Rock and Roll aesthetic.
In 2011, Rebecca was awarded the Breakthrough Designer award from the Accessories Council, earning recognition from the industry. She remains an active member of the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) and supports multiple philanthropies. August 2017, she was announced as a member of the first-ever New York State Council on Women and Girls. Rebecca has always been dedicated to bringing women together to enact positive change, which can be seen, in the bold, strong styles of her work.
In September of last year she established the Female Founder Collective. This is a network of businesses led by women that invests in women’s financial power across the socio-economic spectrum. Which then enables and empowers female-owned businesses.
