The brand new Ball Watch Company Roadmaster Skipper has been announced. These new models are going to be released later on this year, and feature an in-house movement, and are built like no other, with robust materials and expert craftsmanship. The Roadmaster Skipper has been created as a tool watch, designed for sea-faring explorers. The watch provides high practicality, robust materials and bright luminosity to make it the perfect companion for traveling the oceans.
This model has been produced to mark the launch of Ball’s partnership with worldwide adventure base Maewan, and it is available with their manufacture caliber, which features a fantastic 80 hour power reserve. This model comes in two different variations, with a choice of two unique bezels, including one corrosion-resistant bronze option.
Worldwide Adventure Base Maewan
Maewan is a specially engineered sailboat and adventure base that has been set up to host extreme sport enthusiasts. These enthusiasts travel the world, participating in different sports, local community work, and environmental support. Ball watches have joint the Maewan to support the base as it’s 100+ world class explorers take on 35 unforgettable voyages, covering at least 66,000 kilometers in to uncharted territory!
The Roadmaster Skipper has been perfectly designed to suit life at sea. At every hour marker, and on ever hand, Ball have included their revolutionary micro gas tubes to help visibility in the darkness of open water. This boosts the low light reading capability hugely, and ensures that the time can be read instantly even in the dark! The bezel even holds another gas tube inset, so that those who explore under the oceans can track their dive and see how much time has elapsed!
There are two different movements available for this collection. Part of the popular M series, the Roadmaster M Skipper comes equipped with the in-house manufacture caliber BALL RRM7309-C movement. This COSC Certified movement features an 80 hour power reserve, and still is able to maintain a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz0.
The second movement, available in the Roadmaster Skipper is the mechanical RR1102-C caliber, which is also able to deliver COSC Certified precision to your wrist. In addition to this, the movements proven accuracy powers a day and date window, rather than just the date for enhanced functionality.
The Ball Watch Company Roadmaster Skipper
Not only are their different movements available, but the styles and materials can change too! One is a bronze and stainless steel bezel, which gives the watch more of a vintage inspired look. This particular style comes with a 40mm case and a black dial to accent he colour of the bezel itself. The bezel plate has been forged from aluminium bronze, and so, offers high corrosion resistance, especially when exposed to salt water. The bracelet of this model also has this same aluminium bronze running down it’s spine for additional strength and style!
The other variation is available in 40mm or 43mm, with either blue of grey dials. This is the full stainless steel model, which gives the watch a streamlined look when placed on the steel case. The stainless steel provides strength and reliability in the most harsh environments.
Both of these models come with see-through case backs, giving a glimpse in to the movement powering the timepiece. this is protected by Ball’s patented Amortiser anti-shock system that withstands intense shock impact. As a professional tool, the timepiece is water resistant to 200 meters, making it a perfectly capable dive watch, and perfect for traveling the seven seas!
