The New Tissot Lady Heart Flower Powermatic 80
The Tissot Lady Heart Flower Powermatic 80 is the latest to be released by Swiss brand Tissot as part of their T-Lady range. Filled with charm, inside and out, the Tissot Lady Heart design showcases inner beauty through a Powermatic 80 automatic movement, which can be seen, in a unique way, through the flower shaped window at the 12 o’clock position. However, what is special about this particular model is that rather than having a window in to the movement itself, the window displays a background colour which will change as the days tick by.
Femininity finds expression through details such as sparkling diamonds or studs on some models and elegant straps. These are perfect watches for graceful ladies willing to reveal a secret to those close to them…
How It Works
When we were first told about this watch, before seeing any images, we were quite confused as to how it may work. The only other ‘colour changing’ watch that we had previously seen was from U-Boat watches, in the form of the Classico 8051 which had a light sensitive dial hat would move from green to orange depending on the style and strength of light that it was receiving, which was a truly fantastic piece. However, Tissot have taken a completely different approach with this piece, rather than having the whole watch change colour,they have decided to keep it subtle and smart, and have the 12 o’clock dial change on it’s own.
It took us a couple of minutes to understand how the watch works, but once we figured it out it was pretty simple really. It helps if you think of the colour wheel as a date wheel instead, its the same idea that every night the wheel will turn to the next position, so where this would show a new date, it shows a new colour!
The wheel is a gradient going through pinks and purples, to blue and green, to yellow too, which adds a great variation to your look, changing slowly throughout the month! We thought that this was a fantastic new idea from Tissot, and we are definitely looking forward to getting our hands on the watch ourselves!
Not only is this new piece a fantastic, and unique looking watch, that changes colour! Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass sits inside the 35mm PVD plated stainless steel casing, and with a see through case back you get a glimpse in to the fantastic movement powering the whole thing!
