The Casio Honda Racing Limited Edition EQS-800HR-1A pays homage to the history of Honda motor company and the famous Honda Racing legacy.
Created in a new collaboration between Edifice and Honda Racing, the limited edition Casio Honda Racing watch has been developed in order to showcase the advanced state of the art technology that is both part of Casio Edifice watches, and Honda racing cars.
Honda Motor Company was founded in Japan in 1946, by Soichiro Honda and Takeo Fujisawa, and first entered into motor sports, via the world of Formula One in 1964, with their Honda Racing team. During 2018, Honda Racing have began supplying power units to the Scuderia Toro Rosso F1 team, who have been a long time partner with Casio Edifice. Honda and Edifice both come face to face with the technological roadblocks presented by the world of Motorsports, and have created this new Casio Honda Racing Limited Edition watch to showcase the technologies and development involved in overcoming these challenges.
The new EQS-800HR-1A packs the impressive features of the solar powered EQS-800 base model, and turns it into a design filled with Motorsports references. The limited edition comes with a carbon fibre dial, and a white leather strap, with red accenting, just like the image used throughout the Honda brand. The famous red and white that has been seen across Honda cars for years and years, seen on the likes of the Civic Type R, and the Integra, making for some iconic Japanese cars that are massively sought after these days.
The Honda racing spirit is encapsulated by the red accents on the dial, and the band with Honda branding on the strap. Whilst the special presentation box features a card commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1968 Honda F1 RA301, which is definitely a great addition to the memorabilia collection of Honda fans, and Casio fans alike.
