The Swatch Group introduce another upmarket fashion piece with the Calvin Klein Automatic releasing this Autumn
A large number of fashion brands are dipping their toes into the world of upmarket swiss made automatic watches, following the trend of increasingly affordable prices for Swiss-made automatic movements. These watches offer a new option for younger audiences, whom fashion brands are usually targeted at. Swiss-made automatics are usually aimed at an older market, or at least a market more interested in the quality and reliability of their timepiece, however this new direction opens up a new market combining the modern fashion style with the classic movement.
The Swing, a skeletonised model with high end watchmaking hallmarks including front and back sapphire glass to expose the movement, will be limited to a run of just 1,999 pieces in the United Kingdom and is going to be seen for the first time at International Jewellery London, which takes place from September 2nd – 4th at London’s Olympia.
The Swatch Group market some of the best automatic watches and brands out there, with the likes of Hamilton and Tissot among the brands we retail ourselves. This indicates that the Calvin Klein automatic will follow suit and give us a highly accurate, very reliable watch, and of course, being limited to only 1,999 pieces, this will be a highly sought after piece.
“Swing is a fusion of radical modernity and Swiss traditional engineering. Inspired by the beauty of the automatic movement, the sapphire glass and the transparent back case become even more powerful when combined, creating a hallmark of distinction.” Say Calvin Klein
The Calvin Klein automatic Swing watch houses an ETA 2841-1 movement and will sell for an RRP of £549, keep your eyes peeled for this timepiece being available very soon!
