The new season of fall and winter fashion has been transformed from catwalk looks to ready to wear. With a selection of different fall colour trends to add to your autumn and winter wardrobe we thought it would be a good time to introduce accessories that will match your updated fall and winter wardrobe. You would expect that the colours set for winter and autumn would be darker shades however this is not the case, especially this season.
For each season, designers follow the Pantone Institute guidelines and it was interesting to see how the designers incorporated the Pantone fall colours for 2018. The colour palette for the upcoming season is full of earthy, rich and light tones which are beautiful combined or monochromatic. Whilst there are over 20 different shades which will be on trend throughout autumn and winter we decided to take our top five fall colour trends with an accessory recommendation to match.
So, without further ado, here are our top picks from the fall colour palette with watches to match.
Fall Colour Trends 2018
Mellow Rose
Mellow rose is easily a colour that can be overlooked as it falls under the soft pink category. However, it was hard to miss on the runway this season as it was picked by designers such as Gucci, Au Jour Le Jour and Roland Mouret. This lovely shade of pink was shown in the romantic style with ruffles and soft velvet on the runway. It was Gucci however that stole the thunder for us with their combination of futuristic and vintage free flowing dress.

The watch we have chosen for this gorgeous shade of pink is Juicy Couture’s Day Dreamer timepiece. This timepiece is certainly one that will catch the eye of your fellow fashionista’s, the design of the model is simplistic however the dial has more details and a colour combination of gold and silver. This timepiece is good as an everyday wear watch as it is not too overpowering in design so it will compliment your outfit rather than overshadow your style.
Meerkat
The warmth that we are missing from the winter weather can be replaced with the warm hues of meerkat. It is a colour best worn with softer fabrics such as velvet and silk. This shade of brown was seen on the runway not only as a shade in it’s own right but also in prints and other colour combinations. Designers such as Rochas brought this look to the fall season with a prep style in mind whereas Derek Lam showed their new designs with more of a sophisticated working look.

As there are quite a lot of watches and accessories that come in a shade of brown, more specifically meerkat, so the choices to match this look are endless. Following on the prep style that Rochas brought to their runway look we paired this shade with Daniel Wellington’s Durham leather watch. This watch is well suited to a sophisticated, working environment as well as occasions which are more on the formal side. The subtle shade of the meerkat brown means that this watch will compliment your winter wardrobe and suit a variety of different styles and shades.
Shimmering Silver
Silver is again making an appearance on the runways for fall fashion, last fall it was metallic silver that was the highlight of fall fashion 2017 however as we venture into 2018, it is shimmering silver which takes centre stage. Georgio Armani, Christian Dior and Balmain were just a few of the designers who put on a fashion show with a bold display of shimmering silver, Alberta Ferretti taking centre stage with their free flowing, bohemian style dress with a deep v-neck.

Finding an accessory to go with this gorgeous style was quick tricky as we didn’t want to overshadow the beauty of the dress, we wanted it to work as part of a completed look. We felt that Calvin Klein’s Minimal watch with a grey dial was the perfect accessory. This watch has an elegant style which is made up of the mesh bracelet and minimalistic design on the case and dial. If you are a fan of the bohemian style this watches textured bracelet will suit your wardrobe well.
Elegant Black
Black is a colour that has never disappointed the fashion industry, purely for the fact that it is a shade that doesn’t go out of fashion. The good thing about black is that is can be styled with a variety of different fashion styles as well as fabrics which means the possibilities are endless. Black can also be used as a highlighter, many fashion designers placed a black layered garment behind some of the richer colours to take a look to the max. Christopher Kane, Ports 1961 and Saint Laurent provided some of the most eye catching all black looks during their fashion shows.

It was the gorgeous Carolina Herrera’s off the shoulder dress that caught our eye in this shade, made from a fabric which shines, hard to miss!

To match the eloquent and sophisticated off the shoulder dress brought by Carolina Herrera this season we have picked out an equally as sophisticated timepiece by Bering, their Max René Red watch.
