Summer has already begun as we head into June. After Paris fashion week, street designers start creating the looks set for the summer season. This summer is the season of 80’s power fashion with arrivals of puffed shoulders, bold colour and prints.
Here are some of the bold fashion looks that were seen during Paris Fashion Week:
If you are looking to finalise the finishing touches of your summer wardrobe, looking for the last piece of an outfit or in need for a little inspiration then stay tuned.
Pastel
We have so far seen a spring of pastel pinks which will last for the duration of summer, however lilac is making a comeback. In terms of the fashion world, lilac has always been seen as a colour for mums and older but that is changing for the fashion styles of this season. To keep yourself on top of the latest fashion make sure you have lilac ready for your attire so you aren’t falling behind the crowd.
Whilst items of clothing make a look stand out, accessories are just as important, these are our speciality. Adding a watch to your attire not only compliments your style but gives off an aura of sophistication and elegance. For the pastel trend we have chosen Storm’s Ola Lazer Lavender watch.
If for your wardrobe you are seeking an accessory which is edgy with a postmodern twist then the watches Storm produce would be well suited to your style. This particular model represents the new in trend lilac with a silver stainless steel bracelet. It is a fashion watch with the capabilities of catching the eye, soon all your friends will want one too.
Rubber and Plastic
There are so many different ways to describe this look, wet-look, shiny and so on. This unusual fashion style was first seen in the 1960’s and was worn by fashion icons at the time such as Twiggy. These items of clothing rang from wet look leggings, plastic skirts to the iconic rain coat which is completely transparent. Many designers hint that plastic fashion is the future of the fashion industry.
Accessories are easily styled with the use of plastic, at First Class Watches we stock a variety of men’s and women’s watches made out of either plastic, rubber or silicone. For the purpose of plastic and rubber fashion we have chosen Lacoste’s 12.12 pink silicone strap for women.
The brand identity of this model is easily recognised by Lacoste’s signature crocodile featured on the dial. The pastel pink and silicone strap tick two of this years summer fashion trends, so if you are look for a watch which has more than one fashion purpose then this may be the watch for you.
Florals
We have recently produced a blog post on floral watches which you can read if you click here, however florals are in for both summer and spring this year. If you have ever seen the film, Devil Wears Prada then you will understand my reference ‘florals, for spring, groundbreaking’ which was spoken by the fashion guru Miranda Priestly. Although it isn’t a ground breaking trend, summer would be the same without pretty floral dresses.
Floral watches are something we have a lot of here at First Class Watches with a selection of different colours and flowers to choose from. For this summer we have chosen Tommy Hilfigers Pippa Pink Silver Floral Print Dial Stainless Steel Mesh.
Sometimes floral fashion can be loud in design and bold in colour. Whilst you might have a floral dress you want to wear out, or more than one in your wardrobe, watches are great when they can be adapted to several different looks. This is why we have chosen a watch with a subtle floral look which is cream and silver in colour.
Check
Check is a style that you might usually associate with winter, however, this spring and summer look is now in style. Designers such as Alexander McQueen have changed up the style of seasons after the 2018 Paris fashion week with the introduction of check.
Check watches are not a common design among designers however we do have one brand in mind that supply the check style for those who are dedicated to this look. Barbour’s Mitford Tartan Fabric is perfect for the fashions style of this season.
This watch styles a check watch strap with a silver dial. This watch styles neutral colours which means that it can be adapted to many different types of outfits. If you like an accessory which has more than one function this watch also has date display. This watch has a classic and dated look which is also well suited to the vintage style.
All of the watches mentioned in this blog are currently in stock.
