Superdry Watches
Superdry are an incredibly popular clothing brand who have stores all over the world, thanks to the quality and effortlessly cool style of their clothing range. In the past we have even seen celebrities such as David Beckham, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio wearing the clothing despite not seeking celebrity endorsement. Founded in 1985 by Julian Dunkerton and Ian Hibbs, and trading under the name Cult Clothing, the brand expanded across the UK during the 80’s and 90’s. 2003, Julian partnered with James Holder, creator of the Bench brand of clothing, to form the Superdry brand. The brand then went on to explode in popularity during 2005 when David Beckham was pictured wearing the brands clothing in a calendar. They now have stores all over the UK and the brand is sold in over 100 countries around the world. Superdry watches appeared in 2012 and have become an incredibly popular addition to the range.
The Superdry watch range, much like the clothing, offers affordable products whilst matching the personality and distinct style of the superdry brand. The collection offers a huge range of different watches, and a massive variety of colourways to choose from. So, with so much choice we have provided a guide to show you some of our highlights, and models that will be perfect heading in to the summer months!
Urban Collection
Superdry’s flagship Urban collection, simple design combined with unique patterns and colours. This collection has been extremely popular and successful for Superdry over the years, with brand new models constantly being released to keep the options fresh and up to date with current trends.
The majority of the collection is formed from the same base model template; a sporty rubber strap, plastic casing which houses a Japanese quartz movement, resistant up to 50 meters, and then any combination of colours, patterns and branding. Much like the black and white SYG164BW below, one of the more tame models, but extremely popular nonetheless.
The designs come in all kinds of different colourways and motif’s, with the watches below, SYg182WR and SYG226W, we see a different aesthetic. Whilst still being part of the Urban collection, the designs for these models is much more sporty, with inspiration clearly being taken from US college athletics, creating a bold identity and a smart, good looking design. Perfect for the summer months these watches will be great for playing football at the park, or a nice game of rounders at the beach!
Another sub-collection that the design team love at Superdry is their brightly coloured models. Available in a whole range of different combinations and colours, the watches come fitted with the brightest colours to make sure that you stand out! As you can see below, the SYG164MU comes in a multi coloured design, with a blue, and orange rubber strap and a luminous yellow case, this is definitely a model to stand out in a crowd with. The SYG164AUP is more tame the the previous, yet still a statement piece, a stylish summery light blue trap/case combo supports the bright pink dial expertly, a fantastic colour mix.
