Casio is a brand that is well known for its streetwear collaborations, even as I am writing this post the brand has just announced that they will be releasing another collaboration model in time for Baselworld 2018. To name a few there has been HUF, STASH and even Hello Kitty the brand has seen great success from these models and huge waiting lists for limited edition lines of these editions. I think it is something that works really well for them and helps to keep them in touch with very specific markets which the brand is trying to capture and embrace into their brands “Style”.
Their latest edition is this Pigalle X G-Shock collaboration which brings the design and style of a high fashion streetwear brand from Paris. Pigalle are known for their bold striking runway looks which catch the eyes of big designers who then use their models for influences of their own.
G-Shock is definitely one of those watch brands that is always pushing the boundaries and setting new standards for timekeeping toughness, it releases so many new models I can hardly keep up writing articles about them. Their two new Pigalle models feature a silicone rubber strap and case available in a men’s version with a grey matte or a ladies version in a white and pink. The monotone colours work really well with the watches design and face design. The face of the watch is all black on the men’s version and is all purple on the ladies giving the two completely different feels on the wrist. Each has an LCD screen which can be lit up in the dark thanks to a back light, other functions of the watch include stopwatch, countdown timer and alarm, so this model will cover all of your basic timekeeping needs.
