The one downside, when you consider the price, is that the watch is not as feature rich as other smartwatches. This is despite coming with a fairly hefty – for a smartwatch – price tag. You get many of the features that you’d expect – for example NFC, a microphone and it is water resistant. But you don’t get things like heart rate monitors, which many people are coming to expect from today’s smartwatches.
While this may feel like a bit of a let down to lovers of cutting edge technology, this watch is perhaps not aimed at that market. Both Movado and Google are more concerned about making sure things look good than creating a kind-of wrist-based computer.
