Movado Connect at First Class Watches
Movado paid a visit to First Class Watches this morning to give us a one to one on the new Movado Connect smartwatch which was unveiled at Baselworld 2017. Scott Lucas and Jamie Brown who attended Baselworld 2017 this year managed to catch a glimpse but due to extremely high popularity were unable to get a hands on photo for you guys. Now our Movado rep brought some in to our store so we could all get an up close and personal look at the timepiece.
The style of this watch is definitely true to the standard Movado style with its understated dial and simplistic figure. The watch is available in three colour variations which are in silver, yellow gold and black IP plated as you can see from the photos above they are all stunning. Any fan of Movado watches has no reason not to fall in love with this watch as it has all the functionality of the standard models in their current ranges . The Movado Bold Connected II is a strong second choice however there is a few functions and features that this watch has which really set it apart for example the touch screen id phenominal. I had these watch for approximately 20 minutes and I was like a kid in a toy store. There is so much to be explored and its so simple to do so. I’ve only ever seen this watch online and even I could pick it up and start using it with ease.
The watch has a number of digital or analog style faces that you can choose from dependant on your personal style preference. for me the analog style face that you can see in the picture above featured on the yellow gold case. It has a shake feature so when the watch is not being used it sits in a “rest mode” style with low light to save battery power, you can simply shake your wrist to activate the power and it kicks in instantly, the face appears and the time is displayed promptly and its very easy to read. You can change the brightness in the settings if you wish too.
You are able to set how you would like notifications and alerts to display whether they should show a preview, send you a nudge vibration or maybe not do anything, the choice is yours. That is what I love about this watch it is one model, three different colour variations yet it is built for everyone. Their target audience isn’t limited by its dial, markers or digital/ analog display. If you want it showing a certain way just set it up in the settings and there you go! Individuality perfected.
The touchscreen works amazingly and there is no latency or lag, it recognised your finger easily and scrolls or selects efficiently so you can set an alarm or read an email on the go. We can’t wait for the full set of instructions and features to come out so we can have a read down and dirty look into its smart functions and what technology it does use.
