Alpina Announces Startimer Pilot Quartz Models

Alpina watches was brought by Citizen earlier this year along with Frederique Constant in a big push this year to expand and add to their brand portfolio. It was at Baselworld 2017 that Alpina announced their Startimer Pilot Automatic collection. With the new Startimer Pilot Quartz models the brand are hoping to be able to offer the same Alpina style case and strap at a lower price point to customers making it more affordable for the public. The price for the Automatic version is upwards of £1000 where as the quartz models start at £400.

The models retain the traditional pilot characteristics and style which includes the over size indexes, bold contrasting dials and luminous hands to improve readability under a range of conditions. The case on the quartz model is slightly smaller than its standard 44mm which allows it to be more suited to daily activities.  There are a few different straps available in either stainless steel, black PVD-treated stainless steel or nylon.
