Seiko Prospex Limited Edition Blue Lagoon Divers
The Seiko Prospex SRPB09K1 automatic divers watch is the newest limited edition watch that the brand has released. It features both winding automatic and manual capabilities and the movement works comfortably at 21,600 vibrations per hour (6 half cycles per second). The watch is the perfect piece of kit for divers as it is water resistant to 200 meters which meets ISO standards and is suitable for scuba diving and it has an impressive 41 hour power reserve. The movement contains 23 jewels and is enclosed in a stainless steel case to protect it from any accidental knocks. The watch also features a date window display at the 3 o’clock position plus both the case back and crown as screw down to maintain water resistance.
The one-way rotating elapsed timing bezel allows divers to accurately monitor their dive time accompanied by the lumibrite hands and makers which make the time easy to read under poor lighting and extreme conditions.
The Seiko SRPB11K1 Prospex watch has both manual and automatic winding capabilities just like the Seiko SRPB09K1. This model is slightly different to its counterpart ,it has batons and dots on the elapsed timing bezel instead of blue bars, the hour markers are dots rather than bars and the case shape is a lot smoother and curved in shape than the other.
It is 200 meters water resistant, has lumibrite hands and markers and is manufactured from stainless steel just like the SRPB09K1.
Interestingly this model does feature a Caliber 4R36 movement and it contains 24 jewels as opposed to the 23 jewels movement in the first model. The case back on both models has a limited edition engraved caseback and they both come with limited edition box and packaging plus an additional silicone band strap for even more comfort when diving, it would also prevent rust from the salt water.
