Alpina watches is the new official Michael Goulian team partner at the red bull air race world championship
Geneva. June 2017 – In light of its latest collaboration with champion aviator Michael Goulian, Alpina Watches will further its commitment to the Air Universe with a new partnership with the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
The Partnership
Complementing its ambassadorship collaboration with Red Bull Air Race pilot Michael Goulian, Alpina Watches is now the official Michael Goulian Team Partner. The partnership will be made official during stop 3 of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship in Chiba, Japan where the brand will host an event inviting local guests such as retailers, end-customers and press as part of the celebration of this new collaboration. Alpina Watches will be present at the remaining races of the season (Budapest, Kazan, Porto, Lausitz, and Indianapolis), supporting Michael Goulian. Aviation has been part of Alpina’s DNA for almost a century. In 1921, Alpina became a renowned supplier of time instruments for military pilots and air forces so it’s only natural to welcome Michael Goulian as part of the Alpina aviation family.
Michael Goulian
Michael Goulian is one of the world’s most decorated aerial demonstration pilots. Known globally as a Red Bull Air Race pilot, Goulian is one of only seven air show professionals to receive all three of the air show industries’ most prestigious awards: the Art Scholl Memorial Showmanship Award, and the Bill Barber Award for Showmanship and the ICAS Sword of Excellence. Chiba Air Race Event
Japan’s Red Bull Air Race super fans are charged with anticipation as the World Championship returns to Chiba for the third year in a row. The only stop in Eastern Asia became an instant favorite in 2015, when 120,000 spectators sold out the viewing area at Makuhari Beach; and last year, fans were delirious when Japanese pilot Yoshihide “Yoshi” Muroya clinched a landmark win at home. In a 2017 season where no one has emerged as the overall favorite after two hotly contested stops, the racing world will be focused breathlessly on Chiba this June 3-4.
