Elliot Brown set to release new models
4 years ago Elliot Brown set out on a journey to carve out a new niche in the world of watches. After huge dedication and many late nights in the office they have succeeded, this has also led to watch brands around the world taking note of their successes and with comments such as “Best watch launch in 20 years” or “You were our best selling watch brand this Christmas” its easy to see why. The Tyneham Automatic watches arrived and almost instantly sold out, these models will be back in May 2017 so you can set your pre-orders now for a nice surprise come May. Canford and Bloxworth collections are bolstered with new models and this, Elliot Browns first female/unisex collection launches early June – it’s called Kimmeridge the name shared by their favourite surf spot.
The collection comprises of 9 styles with soft leathers, solid link and Milanese bracelets. The collection is shock and waterproof just like most other models Elliot Brown manufacturer however these are protected in a perfectly proportioned 38mm case. The dial reflects that of the Canford watches with a touch more subtlety and grace in true ‘less is more’ Elliot Brown style. There are rumours that they are going to be announcing the release at Baselworld 2017 the biggest watch event of the year.
The ever popular Elliot Brown Boxworth model has received a little bit of TLC (tender love and care) as it now has a warmer colour palette. The new Boxworth is one of 5 new models in the collection, the self coloured bezel on this 929-015-L16 is set off with vintage textured authentic brown high quality leather and elegant slate grey dial. Red highlights on the watches hands confirm it’s sporting history from when a Bloxworth survived an 11 month, 41,000mile ocean voyage mounted to the mast of a Clipper Round the World Race boat. We consider this a pretty honourable feat and true testimony of the reliability of Elliot Brown Watches.
When we challenged two different designers with the same brief the last thing we expected was gold – Elliot Brown.
Elliot Brown explained to us that with the new Cranford they exercised their full impulsiveness in a ‘if we like it we’ll run with it’ style. Here we have the Canford 202-021-L17. If you remember the John Player Special Lotuses of the 70’s and 80’s you’ll know where Elliot Brown are coming from with this. The Sunray black dial, C3 green Superluminova hour batons, polished gold numerals/hands and to complete the theme, a gold Elliot Brown shield sits proudly on the deeply engraved case back. Elliot Brown said “It’s become our new office favourite” and I think its safe to say its become ours as well its a stunning watch with a colour palette that works perfectly with the case and strap materials.
After 4 years of building pressure unfortunately Elliot Brown have announced that it’s time for their first price increase. It comes into force from 1st April and we understand the immense stress brands are currently under withing Brexit markets to keep prices low and cover these new increased charged themselves so we support the change online and in store and wish them all the best.
