This week one of our team came across this great environmentally friendly watch company called Analog Watch Co. Environmentally friendly watches aren’t in the news too much but this one definitely made our ears stick up, excuse the pun. The company is looking at innovative new ways to make watches whilst also reduce the amount of waste produced from their manufacture.

Analog Watch Co. have managed to create a watch collection which they have called The Companion Collection, where the strap and case are coated with… Cat Hair!

Remaining true to their company ethos to be, “Inspired by Nature,” Analog Watch Co. took inspiration from the animal kingdom when they developed these custom-to-order timepieces that allows you to always have your furry friend nearby.

So we know what you’re thinking! “How do I get one of the Companion Collection watches?” Well its simple all you need to do is send them a measly 2-4 oz of your pets fur in an airtight giffy bag. Once it arrives at their workshop they start creating their magical furry canvases! They have developed a pet furrrst (sorry I had to) process which is hand crafted by the watch technicians in their workshop to transform the fur into a felted wool, The wool is then heated to form a leather watch band and metal watch body shell. Analog Watch Co. also coat you fur with a specialised hydrophobic coating so that your new timepiece will remain soft, yet stay clean and water resistant.
