The bold and stylish watch manufacturers TW Steel are celebrating their 10th anniversary, which they call the 10th year of being “Big in Oversized Watches!” Over the last 10 years TW Steel have gone from strength to strength by being innovative, unique and always one step ahead of the pack.
Canteen Collection
TW Steel are set to celebrate their 10th year of being “Big in Oversized Watches” by releasing a brand new Canteen Collection. The original Canteen Collection was the first collection offered by TW Steel watches to hit the market in 2005 and launched TW Steel in style with big bold unique watches which stand out amongst the competition.
The new Canteen Collection is available in 45mm and 50mm case sizes with a choice of leather straps or steel bracelets. Each design in the new collection is offered in a 3-Hand, Chrono or Automatic movement edition. This means that there is a design to suit all tastes in the new canteen collection.
The leather strap options for the new TW Steel Canteen Collection include subtly unique design elements. The 3-Hand versions come with a brushed steel case and bezel, while the Chrono versions have a brushed steel case alongside a hammered steel bezel. Finally, the Automatic editions also have a brushed steel case alongside a hammered bezel along with an elegant steel piece on the leather strap by the casing.
The Canteen Collection leather strap editions use vintage leather, separating it from the original Canteen Collection by providing a more antique and aged look with appealing bold stitching.
The range of bracelet options have been expanded, including brushed steel, PVD rose gold and new 2-tone timepieces, which are on-trend with current trends while remaining timeless in their overall look.
Just like the leather strap editions, the Canteen Collection bracelet options include subtly unique design elements. The 3-Hand versions include a shiny bezel with shiny mid-pieces on the bracelet, the Chrono editions come with a brushed steel bracelet and a tachometer. Finally, the Automatic timepieces have a hammered bezel and hammered mid-pieces on the bracelet.
“Personally, I take a great degree of satisfaction that ten years on from the introduction of our first Canteen Collection,” said TW Steel co-founder and Chief Design Officer, “there’s still room to develop the range as we’ve done with the 2015 models.”
He continued, “Canteen has showed its staying power in the market and we know how much people love their pieces. Re-styling isn’t done for the sake of it; it’s only done to improve the design aesthetically or technically. We’ve kept the DNA of these models to satisfy the consumer but we’ve obviously enhanced their appeal with the new adaptions and style improvements. It’s exciting to see such growth in the Canteen range, with the new collection taking us to around 200 designs. It’s been a substantial task but I’ve taken great delight in it knowing the enduring legacy of this design and its integral role in the success, both past, present and future, of TW Steel.”
The new Canteen Collection models will be available over the next few months and we are an official dealer of TW Steel watches, which are available here.
